Tick. Tick. Tick.
No one can change time.
And it is true in our own home
as our wall clock is stuck on
8:15
because we are too lazy to change the battery.
So every day my hubby looks at the clock
and says "Oh it is 8:16".
TIME stops.
What if TIME stopped.
What if you were stuck in the same TIME
until you got that moment PERFECT,
and then once everything lined up
then it would be 8:16.
I think if this was the case, we would all still be stuck
at the TIME we were born,
as perfection is unattainable when dependent on self.
Tick. Tick. Tick.
So what if TIME did stop, so that
you were stuck with with whatever
circumstances, relationships, and feelings you are experiencing.
this very moment,
whether good or not so good.
You would have no power to change anything.
You would have to live day in and day out right where you are.
Scary thought for some or a great thought for others,
But then you see JESUS.
HIS hands are reaching out.
HE whispers~
"COME TO ME".
But you look back at the clock
that reminds you of the condition that your life is in right now.
You can stay stuck wishing things would be different.
You can stay stuck because you love how things are.
But either way
there is JESUS
HIS hands reaching out,
HE whispers~
"COME TO ME".
Do you COME?
"We are not fundamentally free;
external circumstances are not in our hands,
they are in GOD'S hands,
the one thing in which we are free is in our personal relationship to GOD
. We are not responsible for the circumstances we are in,
but we are responsible for the way we allow those circumstances to affect us;
we can either allow them to get on top of us, or we can allow
them to transform us into what GOD wants us to be" (Oswald Chambers).
I think it is time for us to change the battery.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take MY yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For MY yoke is easy and My burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30).
