Day 27: Kissed For Life

I REMEMBER

my first kiss with my hubby.

He wasn't my hubby at the time,

but I knew he would be.

It was

46 years ago on this day!

A day that is tattooed on my heart forever.

I remember the outfit I was wearing,

and I remember his Jackson Brown t-shirt

that he was wearing,

that I still have tucked away.

Why do I REMEMBER this day?

Because it was the beginning of a beautiful life,

as I fast forward to today,

for

my love for this man has never died.

It grows with each tick of the clock.

Am I getting all mushy today?

How can I not.

Could I have ever imagined that

GOD would KISS our lives with

HIMSELF? 

Could I have ever imagined that

GOD would KISS our lives with

 our morning dates

filled with prayers and espresso?

Could I have ever imagined that

GOD would KISS our lives with

 FORGIVENESS,

for all things that we may have done

when we didn't really KNOW HIM?

Could I have ever imagined that

GOD would KISS our lives with

HIS PEACE

 that transcend all understanding,

 when we don't understand?

Could I have ever imagined that

GOD would KISS our lives with a HOPE

that overwhelms DESPAIR?

Could I have ever imagined that

GOD would KISS our lives with

HIS JOY that is forever?

Could I have ever imagined that

GOD would KISS our lives?

What is THE KISS OF GOD? 

Or should I ask WHO?

JESUS!

Think about it.

Does GOD have to KISS our lives?

Not really.

Does GOD have to KISS anyone's life?

Not really.

As we all fall so short

because of the sin nature

that KISSED our hearts

from the beginning of time,

because of Adam and Eve's apple party.

BUT GOD WANTS TO KISS EVERYONE'S LIFE

with A KISS that LASTS INTO FOREVER,

because

JESUS is our FOREVER.

GOD WAITS for the prodigal to return.

"So he got up and went to his FATHER.

But while he was still a long way off,

his FATHER saw him and was filled with compassion for him;

HE ran to his son, threw HIS arms around him and KISSED him"

(Luke 15:20).

So on this day of

REMEMBRANCE of

being KISSED for the first time by my man

that opened up my HEART to a LOVE

 that I had never known,

it is really a day of

THANKSGIVING

for

THE KISS OF GOD

that OPENS up every

HEART

that

 RECEIVES HIS SON.

Oh TO BE KISSED with an UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

that is FREE

does transcend all understanding,

No questions asked.
