She hugged me so tight

and said,

"This is the best sleepover ever".

Our granddaughter.

Tears overwhelmed me,

as I also thought this was the best sleepover ever.

And "all" we did

 was watch a movie together,

and dance together,

and a scavenger hunt,

and eat McDonalds,

and do crafts,

and eat candy in bed,

and...

But what was it really all about?

What does a CHILD desire?

TIME.

Precious TIME my hubby and I

LOVED on our grandson and granddaughter.

TIME to look into their eyes,

which are a direct line to their hearts,

and then to say

I LOVE YOU without saying  LOVE YOU,

because children KNOW LOVE.

You can't fake LOVE to a CHILD,

as they would call you out on it.

TIME.

So was this a sleepover or a "wake"over,

for who really sleeps when you are

sandwiched in the middle of a bed between 2 little ones,

and a couple of gummy bears under the covers.

Your heart stays wide awake,

as the children have their arms around you.

TIME.

And then our granddaughter asking me the question,

"When did you start loving GOD so much".

How do you tell a 6 year old your testimony?

I don't know, as I was speechless.

Was the answer so important,

 or was the beauty in

the asking of the question.

Hmm.

For I forget my answer, but I know her heart heard it.

So, was our dancing while watching the

"Gabby's Dollhouse Movie"

with tears running down my face,

the answer.

Oh yes.

For the movie was about a

grandmother and her granddaughter,

who never lost their heart to PLAY.

A grandmother with curly hair

and her granddaughter with curly hair.

A grandmother who loved toys and fun.

A granddaughter who loved toys and fun.

And then the conversation between

Gabby and one of her cat toys~

Gabby: For playing in this dollhouse is my favorite thing in the whole world.

Cat: "I hope we can do this forever and ever"

Gabby: "I promise forever and ever".

All wrapped up in the message of,

NEVER STOP PLAYING!

And there I was with tears streaming down my face,

as the words of my grandson melted my heart,

"Jojo, why do you love toys so much

and love to play".

PERMISSION to release the CHILD inside,

no matter how old I get on the outside,

and

no matter how old you get on the outside.

For inside of me,

I have a CHILD'S heart.

I am just a CHILD who craves

TIME,

because I cherish RELATIONSHIPS.

Therefore,

 as I think back to

 my granddaughter's

question when did I fall in LOVE with GOD,

it was answered in this sleepover.

For it was THE TIME

I stopped

and took

THE TIME to ask GOD the question.

"Who are YOU"?

And then HE took THE TIME to

answer me,

"I am YOURS and you are MINE,

and I want you to meet my SON".

And my life has never been the same.

Therefore,

will you take THE TIME to RELEASE THE CHILD in you,

to the ONE who created you to be HIS CHILD~

“Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children,

you will never enter the kingdom of heaven"

(Matthew 18:3).

And PLAY my friend,

forever and ever.

Eat gummy bears in bed.

And

"I HOPE YOU DANCE"

(listen to the song below)
