Day 26: Choice To Choose

I can be UP.

I can be DOWN.

I can be ALL AROUND.

I don't know how GOD keeps track of me,

as I have a hard time keeping track of me.

But is it up to GOD to keep track of me,

and to chase me down

to get my attention,

when HE doesn't have my full attention?

Hmm.

Because GOD is such a gentleman

HE lets me be

and HE let's me do,

who I CHOOSE to be

and CHOOSE to do.

FREEDOM OF CHOICE!

To CHOOSE GOD when I want to CHOOSE someone else~

"Seek the LORD and HIS strength; seek HIS presence continually!"

(I Chronicles 16:11).

To CHOOSE GOD when I want to CHOOSE to do something else~

"But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying GOD'S precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]" (James 1:22)

To CHOOSE GOD when I CHOOSE  to FOCUS on what I feel~

"Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by GOD'S word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]"

(Philippians 4:8).

So why should I CHOOSE GOD?

How can I not?

“Anyone who intends to come with ME has to let me lead.

 You’re not in the driver’s seat—I am.

 Don’t run from suffering; embrace it.

 Follow ME and I’ll show you how.

 Self-help is no help at all.

 Self-sacrifice is the way,

MY way, to finding yourself, your true self.

 What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you?

 If any of you is embarrassed with ME and the way I’m leading you,

 know that the SON OF MAN will be far more embarrassed with you

 when HE arrives in all HIS splendor in company with the FATHER and the holy angels. This isn’t, you realize, pie in the sky by and by.

 Some who have taken their stand right here are going to see it happen,

 see with their own eyes the kingdom of GOD" 

Therefore,

I CHOOSE to

"WALK WITH JESUS"
