Day 25: Stand By Me

We can't stop it, as it keeps ticking by~

TIME.

TODAY is the only TODAY we will ever have in this moment of TIME.

YESTERDAY was the only YESTERDAY we had in TIME.

TOMORROW will be the only TOMORROW we will every have in TIME.

Past. Present. Future.

Tick. Tick. Tick.

I look back into TIME

and know that I wouldn't be sitting here TODAY in this moment of TIME

if GOD wasn't in my YESTERDAY.

I look back over TIME

on this day that can be marked in so many different ways.

456 months ago

or 1983 weeks

or 13880 days

or 333,101 hours

or 19,986,080 minutes

or 1,199,164,854 seconds~~

And I am blown away

because the TIME that has past

can be summed in

38 years

that I have been married to my man.

Oh our 13880 days together that

started the moment

when we said

"I DO".

We said it in church, making a PROMISE to each other.

But what we didn't realize that we were making a PROMISE WITH GOD.

We made it with our mouths, yet not our hearts because

we didn't really know

GOD.

Oh we BELIEVED HE was GOD.

Oh we BELIEVED JESUS was HIS SON.

We KNEW & BELIEVED

in a religion kind of way.

Did we KNOW that we didn't really KNOW THEM?

Oh no,

not until

TIME ticked by

&

GOD made HIMSELF KNOWN to us

because HE PURSUES HIS children

because that is what LOVE does.

HE found us, where we found HIM~

just waiting with open arms

to welcome us into a relationship

that has become the CORD that keeps us together

TODAY & TOMORROW & into FOREVER.

Where we just a couple of kids madly IN LOVE

13880 days ago?

Oh yes.

Are we still just a couple of kids madly IN LOVE

TODAY?

Oh yes, but with a different LOVE that isn't just a touchy feely kind of LOVE,

because when the LOVE of JESUS overtakes you

LOVE just doesn't say I DO

as it says I WILL.

Because when JESUS enters into your life

LOVE becomes an action

that moves beyond just words.

So on this day

I am ever so thankful

for

GOD coming IN~between just a couple of kids

so these couple of kids

could experience a LOVE

that never stops

coming

IN~between us

that is only found

IN JESUS .

Who would we be without JESUS?

Well that is not an OPTION

because we couldn't exist without HIM.

Thank you my man for

1,199,164,854 seconds of

STANDING BY ME

through our ages & stages

and

for STANDING with me

with JESUS

IN~between us .

Who would we be without JESUS?

Oh just a couple of kids who thought they knew what LOVE was.

BUT Thank YOU JESUS that we get to experience a LOVE that needs no words

because

HIS LOVE

is a never ending LOVE

that enables us

STAND TOGETHER

because

IN JESUS

we never STAND ALONE

as

"A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

because

LOVE ALWAYS has & LOVE ALWAYS will
