I have been doing what HE tells me to do~
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,
give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (I Thessalonians 5:16-18)~
Yet I haven't received what I have been praying without ceasing for.
I have been doing what HE tells me to do~
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer" (Romans 12:12)~
Yet I haven't received what I have been faithful in prayer for.
I have been doing what HE tells me to do,
but have I really been doing what HE tells me to do~
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,
whenever you face trials of many kinds..." (James 1:2).
Hmm I have been missing the most important part of what HE has been telling me to do
as I am missing
the JOY of waiting
the HOPE of waiting
the THANKS of waiting
because
JOY & HOPE & THANKS is the answer to all of my prayers
in the moment I am praying
as I tell GOD how it is
and what I desire
and then I am
REJOICING always IN HIM
HOPING always IN HIM
THANKING always IN HIM.
And GOD is answering all my prayers~
as it is about HIM and not about me
as PRAYER
brings
GOD into the moments of waiting for something
and then HE becomes the answer to all my prayers.
Therefore I will continue to do what HE tells me to do~
"Therefore let us [with privilege] approach
the throne of grace [that is, the throne of GOD’S gracious favor]
with confidence and without fear,
so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [HIS amazing] grace
to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment] (Hebrews 4:16)
and then I will continue to be so filled with HIM that
JOY & HOPE & THANKS
overtakes me.
REAL LIFE. REAL STORY. REAL GOD.
