Day 25: Happy Tears
When the words,
"Jojo, are those lines on your face HAPPY LINES"
rolled off the tongue of my precious granddaughter,
as she stared into my eyes,
I will never look at my wrinkles the same.
Do you have HAPPY LINES?
I have them right now, as I am smiling.
To see the GOOD in what the world calls bad.
Just like tears, as I like to call them
HAPPY TEARS.
A release of what is tucked deep into your heart, that comes out,
like a dam that has been released,
Just as rain brings flowers,
TEARS bring FREEDOM.
A CRYING HEART that has been kept in bondage
because
what if other's could SEE the hurt that is on your heart,
Oh WHAT IF?
Well guess what,
REAL MEN CRY.
JESUS WEPT.
Yup.
Shortest verse in the bible.
GOD'S SON CRIED.
And HE did it quite often,
for
JESUS is "a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief"
(Isaiah 53:3).
Oh REAL MEN CRY~
"Jesus offered up prayers and supplications,
with loud cries and tears,
to HIM who was able to save HIM from death, and HE was heard because of his reverence. Although HE was a SON, HE learned obedience through what HE suffered"
(Hebrews 5:7-8).
How are these
HAPPY TEARS?
But then again why is
GOOD FRIDAY GOOD.
Hmm.
Because
"We know [with great confidence] that GOD [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as ea plan] for GOOD for those who love GOD, to those who are called according to HIS plan and purpose"
(Romans 8:28).
For JESUS DID RISE FROM THE DEAD.
Oh HAPPY FOREVER TEARS!
You can still shed
TEARS,
but with the ONE who SHED them first.
And that is why my friend,
"...we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,
as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen.
For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal"*
(2 Corinthians 4:16-18).
All because
"GOD IS GOOD"
