Day 24: Uncontrollable Control

I never realized what I used to do,

until GOD UNLEASHED me from what I used to do~

CONTROL!

I would try to CONTROL my life

by doing all that I could do,

by planning

PERFECTLY

ahead of time

everything possible that I could to do

to try to protect myself from

any possible encounter

of getting my heart hurt by others.

But what do you do when PERFECT is never PERFECT enough?

Oh what an never ending task

that never ends up the way you want

because

we do not have the power to

CONTROL

anyone,

whether they will hurt,

or frustrate,

or disappoint us.

Oh how the arrows would still fly

that would pierce my heart

with hurt, frustration and disappointment

no matter how

PERFECT I tried to do or be.

For

I can't

CONTROL

any

person, place, or thing,

except

my FAITH.

I CONTROL WHO I BELIEVE.

I CONTROL WHO I FOLLOW.

I CONTROL what I do with what I want to CONTROL

by RELEASING "ALL" to the PERFECT ONE,

and I mean ALL~

your anxieties,

your worries,

your hurts,

your frustrations,

your sorrows,

everyone,

&

even

your SELF.

And then it happens

so supernaturally,

because you are not in CONTROL

as

GOD UNLEASHES you

into a new world

that you never thought existed,

as you start to fly

even though you never knew you could

All because GOD lifts your wings

and all you have to do is

"Cast all your anxiety on HIM because he cares for you" (I Peter 5:7)

As you

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge HIM, And HE shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5:6).

I sit here with tears flowing my heart

as I had it all wrong with the striving,

as it is in

the STILLNESS with GOD

where you give CONTROL back to the ONE

who does your life way better than you could ever do it.

As it is in the RELEASE,

the scary place,

where you let go of ALL that you want to CONTROL.

You give it back to the CONTROLLER.

It seems so bizarre,

that in order to regain CONTROL

you have to give up CONTROL.

And when you give it back to

our CONTROLLER,

who doesn't CONTROL us like robots

but with GRACE,

HE gently leads you to the place where

GOD can be GOD

and you can be HIS CHILD,

who depends on your DADDY

like their life depended on it,

because it does.

In order to regain CONTROL

you have to take the stance of

SURRENDER

that

UNLEASHES

HIS peace that transcends all understanding

because

GOD does PERFECT all the time.

Just look at the CROSS.

JESUS IS NOT THERE.

In order to get up you have to get down

on your knees and

then you will be

"constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in CHRIST],

steadfast and patient in distress..."

Just be RELEASING your whole SELF~

"devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength]" (Romans 12:!2)

and then

CONTROL is no longer in your vocabulary

because it was never supposed to be.

Let GOD take you from

CONTROL to SURRENDER

and then you will

CONTROL what you can CONTROL

that is personally yours~

your FAITH

for

"The Sovereign LORD is my strength!

HE makes me as surefooted as a deer,

able to tread upon the heights" (Habakkuk 3:19)

and then my friend you will not only fly but

SOAR above

all things that strive to keep your feet on the ground.

Get Ready. Get Set. Go.
