FORGIVENESS goes backwards.
It looks at something that was.
Bringing it to the present
only
to be released into the future
never to be seen again
because
HE never sees it again.
"For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more" (Hebrews 8:12).
How can GOD do this? How does HE FORGIVE & FORGET?
I wonder if HE looks back to the perfect garden that HE created
and the man & woman whom HE created
who were perfect too.
But then they acted not so perfect.
HE saw it all.
"For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more"
HE clothed them.
HE covered the shame.
HE sent them away with a PROMISE~
"For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more"
I wonder if GOD really FORGETS~
"MY GOD, MY GOD, why have YOU forsaken ME?” (Matthew 27:46)
as HIS SON wore all the shame for all us .
FORSAKEN~
"to refuse to accept or acknowledge something, conceived of as leaving it behind" (Logos).
For a brief moment in time
GOD REMEMBERED the garden scene PROMISE
that now hung on the cross~
"JESUS said, 'It is finished.' With that, HE bowed HIS head and gave up HIS spirit" (John 19:30).
FORGIVENESS goes backwards.
REMEMBERING what was
only to never be seen again~
“I, I am HE who blots out your transgressions for MY own sake,
and I will not remember your sins" (Isaiah 43:25).
Are you FORGIVEN?
It is quite SIMPLE because
HE made it quite SIMPLE
as it is a GIFT to be RECEIVED
for you & me & everyone else.
Thank YOU GOD~
"YOUR forgiveness is like sweet, sweet honey on my lips" ("HOLY WATER" listen below)
