LOVE drives you to what is unnatural in the moment~
To say NO when you want to say YES
so you won't
receive the ARROW OF REGRET.
Oh
"For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them]. I do not practice what I want to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate [and yielding to my human nature, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]" (Romans 5:17 AMP).
Those times when
I FALL SHORT
of my own expectations & of GOD's EXPECTATIONS~
when I do what I know I should NOT do.
I am talking about
the little silly stuff that appears to be so trivial
like
gossip
unwholesome talk
complaining
judging
old habits
&
__________,
yet are really not that trivial
as they
actually PIERCE THE HEART OF GOD
because HIS HEART HURTS when we leave HIM out of the picture~
"Against YOU, YOU only, I have sinned" (Psalm 51:4).
When my heart says go and GOD says stop
I have to stop because of my LOVE for GOD
because my GOD does not like it when I do this or that
because my GOD LOVES me
and LOVE always wants the best for you & me.
A LOVE that is so perfect
because it is wrapped in the
PEFECT LOVE of JESUS.
JESUS~
who was thinking about me & you & everyone else
when HE chose to get on the cross.
So when I want to do that which I know I don’t want to do
I will take a breath
and remember that it isn't about me
as it is about GOD.
Because I know whatever the "it" is
"it" will pierce the heart of my GOD
with great sorrow
because I am HIS and HE is mine
and LOVE wants the best
because LOVE covers all~
"for there is no condemnation in those who are IN JESUS" (Romans 8;1)
IN JESUS~
WRAPPED in the scars from the nail holes that JESUS wears on HIS HANDS.
HIS SCARS that are a reminder of
HIS PEFECT LOVE
that drives out punishment,
because HE took my punishment & yes yours
for all those times we FALL SHORT of PERFECTION~
for when we strive
to do the impossible that only JESUS can do for us.
So when we do what we know we don't want to do,
whatever the "it" is
becomes an open wound that keeps bleeding,
that keeps pouring REGRET upon our souls.
BUT LOVE is right there
ready to receive us
with HIS FORGIVING BLOOD
that binds up our wounds
and leaves a permanent scar
that
becomes more like a tattoo of LOVE
that says "JESUS LIVES HERE".
Oh ________
you are NO LONGER AN OPTION
because
___________ HURTS my GOD
who LOVES you & I beyond our comprehension
and HE does not want anything messing with HIS CHILDREN
whom are HIS PRIZED POSSESSION.
“I’ve loved you the way my FATHER has loved me. Make yourselves at home in my love.
If you keep my commands, you’ll remain intimately at home in my love.
That’s what I’ve done—kept my FATHER'S commands and made myself at home in HIS love"*
Oh when you are IN LOVE with someone
and when HE is IN LOVE with you,
doing what HE desires you to do
becomes a WANT TO & not a HAVE TO. So why do what do what you know you don't want to do,
because LOVING GOD so deeply
just says NO
because
IN JESUS __________ is NO LONGER AN OPTION.
"I’ve told you these things for a purpose: that MY joy might be your joy,
and your joy wholly mature" *(John 15:9-11 MSG).
