They look at each other
as they stand face to face.
The battle has begun.
Who will win.
They both are so strong and mighty.
Ready. Set. Go.
FAITH vs. FEAR.
FEAR begins.
He stands so tall and doesn't even have to say a word,
because nothing can get by him
because he won't move.
He is dressed with a confidence
and a stubbornness because he refuses to let anyone get near him.
He is daunting. No one can talk to him
because he won't listen.
Oh the facade FEAR wears
as he looks so strong and mighty, yet inside he feels like a mouse.
And there stands FAITH.
FAITH smiles. He is relaxed.
He doesn't even look like he is prepared for the battle.
It is like he is waiting for a stunt man to stand in his place.
As FAITH looks like a mouse looking into the eyes of
FEAR who looks like a lion getting ready to roar.
It is so obvious to the naked eye who will win the battle.
FEAR speaks~
I am anxious and worried about everything.
I doubt GOD means what HE says.
So don't even think about getting near me
because I won't let you touch me.
FAITH responds~
"For if I perish I perish" (Esther 4:16).
FEAR laughs in his face.
FAITH stands tall.
FEAR starts to get angry.
FAITH responds~
"For if I perish I perish"
FEAR cowards.
FAITH speaks~
"For GOD did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [HE has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]" (2 Timothy 1:7).
FEAR doesn't have a chance because FAITH is fierce
as FAITH faces the face of GOD who fights his battles
and all FAITH has to do is show up~ "The LORD will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm"
(Exodus 14:14).
FEAR looks at FAITH again
and realizes his face is not the same face that entered into the battle,
for he sees the FACE of GOD
who was standing there the whole time.
For FAITH looks beyond the face of FEAR
as it stands and courageously shouts,
"For if I perish I perish",
because
FAITH never stands alone,
"And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish;
and no one will ever snatch them out of MY hand.
MY FATHER, who has given them to ME, is greater and mightier than all;
and no one is able to snatch them out of the FATHER'S hand.
I and THE FATHER are ONE [in essence and nature]" (John 10:28-30)
And all because of
EASTER,
for FAITH'S eyes are fixed on the
ONEÂ who always wins the battle~
"I know how the story ends.
We will be with YOU again.b
 You’re my SAVIOR my defense.
No more fear in life or death.
I know how this story ends"*
For
we know
*"YOU'VE ALREADY WON"
