Day 21: The Perfect Wait

 GOD never STOPS being GOD,

even if you feel like your LIFE is at a STANDSTILL.

You WAIT.

You TRUST.

You BELIEVE.

BUT all your hear is

TICK. TICK. TICK.

Tears stream down my face now, as it is because I am

tired of THE WAIT.

But GOD isn't.

HE KNOWS what I need

and HE KNOWS what you need,

and it is the SAME THING~

HIM!

For the

WAITING TRUTH

is that

GOD never stops being GOD

even if you feel like your LIFE is at a STANDSTILL.

So is my life at a STANDSTILL,

or is GOD telling me to

STAND STILL?

HMM.

The same words HE sent through

MOSES to

tell the Israelites,

after they were released from the BONDAGE in Egypt,

yet before them they see THE RED SEA

and Pharaoh's men coming towards them from behind.

Have you been there?

Standing on the shore of a tsunami coming your way,

and behind you there is a hurricane.

But you hear your leader tell you,

“Do not be afraid.

Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD

 which HE will accomplish for you today

. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.

 The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace”

(Exodus 14:13-14).

Would you

 STAND STILL

in TRUST,

in BELIEF,

while you are

 WAITING on GOD to DO SOMETHING?

Yikes.

I would have passed out.

And at times I do want to pass out

when the raging seas are staring at me in the face just waiting to to bury me alive.

Oh the FAITH of FAITH

in the middle of WAIT,

as the clock continues to

TICK, TICK, TICK,

yet it appears that

GOD is not going to do anything.

To BELIEVE GOD when your heart is telling you to RUN somewhere else,

but there is no where to RUN,

because you are STANDING exactly where GOD wants you~

caught in the

ARMS of GOD who is holding you so tight

as you are STANDING STILL.

Oh the SWEET SPOT OF FAITH

that becomes your favorite place.

Because GOD does not LIE.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.

When you walk through the fire,

you will not be burned;

the flames will not set you ablaze"

(Isaiah 43:2).

TICK. TICK. TICK.

The waves are getting bigger.

The army is increasing.

You are stuck in the MIDDLE,

but

GOD IS WITH YOU.

What do you do.

STAND STILL~

"Wait for and confidently expect the LORD;

Be strong and let your heart take courage;

Yes, wait for and confidently expect the LORD"

(Psalm 27:14)

TICK. TICK. TICK.

Your heart slows down.

It appears as if the sea is gone

and the army has gone home to bed.

TICK. TICK. TICK.

So this is THE GIFT of HIS PERFECT PEACE

that transcends all understanding.

And all GOD asks is for you to

STAND STILL

and

WAIT

and

TRUST

and

BELIEVE.

For

GOD ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISES.

HE did part the RED SEA in

HIS PERFECT TIMING.

Do you have a RED SEA in your life

that you want parted?

Could it be that

GOD just wants MORE OF YOU

so that HE can OVERWHELM you

with MORE OF HIM~

“You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast

 [that is, committed and focused on YOU—

in both inclination and character, Because he trusts and takes refuge in YOU

[with hope and confident expectation]"

(Isaiah 26:3).

Oh the RAGING SEAS are just a prop.

TICK. TICK. TICK.

"When I am WAITING, for HIS promise to come, Sometimes HE is silent. But I'm never alone.

HE walks in the valley. HE quiets the storm. HE stands in the fire. So why should I fear anymore.

For I know

'THE PLANS'*

 HE has for me"
