A NEW Year~
A NEW Me & A NEW You.
How are your RESOLUTIONS? How NEW are you?
As I can't keep RESOLUTIONS
I don't make them,
BUT instead I move closer to
JESUS
because HE can only do what I can't do on my own.
Moving closer to JESUS is hard at times especially
when we are so focused on our shortcomings
that we believe HE is too
because
HE SEES all of me & HE SEES all of you~
from our outside to our insides
&
that makes us so vulnerable
BUT
JESUS doesn't move away
&
JESUS doesn't condemn
&
JESUS doesn't send us away.
Oh how easily I forget in those moments
when
"my" heart is broken
when
I am left by "my"self
when
"my" expectations are not met.
BUT there HE IS ALWAYS.
Oh how we can get in the way of
JESUS calling us ALWAYS.
So I continue to FAST from "my"self
by getting "my" eyes off of "my"self
& by
"Fixing 'my' eyes on JESUS" (Hebrews 12:2)
because
JESUS SAID~
"Whoever wants to be MY disciple must deny themselves
and take up their cross and follow ME" (Mark 8:34)
HE is the MY & the ME that I am to be
FIXED on & FOLLOW~
THE ONE whose arms are always opened
to you & I ALWAYS~
all because
JESUS just wants to be with us
as we are on the way of becoming who
GOD created us to be.
Therefore
"Come to ME ALL who are..." (Matthew 11:28)
& bring all your stuff
because there
HE ALWAYS IS
to all who
