You say it anyway.
But wouldn't you be a hypocrite
saying
THANK YOU,
when you aren't
THANKFUL
for this or that
CIRCUMSTANCE
or
RELATIONSHIP
or
even for your
UNTHANKFUL ATTITUDE,
because
you don't want to be
THANKFUL?
Have you ever
WAITED
to be
THANKFUL,
because you are
WAITING
for the
PERFECT time
when
the
CIRCUMSTANCE
or
RELATIONSHIP
or
even your attitude
CHANGES,
before
you will be
THANKFUL.
Hmm.
Think about it.
So why would you even think about saying
THANK YOU,
when you don't even feel like
saying
THANK YOU?
Because
THANK YOU isn't about
THANKING GOD
for whatever is or isn't in your life
that you are UNTHANKFUL about,
as it is about
THANKING GOD
for
BEING GOD
for
BEING A LOVING GOD
for
BEING A FORGIVING GOD
for
BEING A GOOD GOD
who IS working ALL THINGS
for THE GOOD of those who love GOD.
Because if we don't have GOD,
then what would we have?
We wouldn't have
LIFE,
as HE is our CREATOR.
Breathe that in.
Let it take over your whole being.
GOD made a conscious decision to
CREATE you!
GOD PURPOSED you to be
HERE,
right NOW
in this space and time
because
GOD WANTS you HERE
for
"such a time as this" (Esther),
even if your TIME feels like an UNTHANKFUL time.
Oh to
BE THANKFUL ALWAYS,
just because
GOD ACCEPTS you,
even when you are feeling
UNTHANKFUL for BEING UNACCEPTED
by others
and
just because you are
FORGIVEN,
even when you are feeling
UNTHANKFUL for BEING UNFORGIVEN by others,
and
just because
GOD HEARS you,
even when you feeling
UNTHANKFUL for BEING UNHEARD~
just because
GOD IS WITH YOU
in
ALL THANKFUL THINGS
and
IN ALL UNTHANKFUL THINGS.
GOD IS ALWAYS GOD
even though
CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE
and even though
RELATIONSHIPS CHANGE
and even though
FEELINGS CHANGE.
Because
GOD IS STILL GOD
and
that my friend
is something to say
THANK YOU.
Because
where would you be if
GOD wasn't GOD.
You would have never been born.
What are you FEELING UNTHANKFUL about today?
Will you join me
and just
THANK YOU GOD
because that is all
HE ASKS~
"This is the way GOD wants you who belong to CHRIST JESUS to live"*
because HE knows
that you can
"THANK GOD no matter what happens"*
when you
"pray all the time"*
so that you will be
"Be cheerful no matter what"*
because
"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength"
(Proverbs 17:22).
Take this moment and stop.
Just say
THANK YOU GOD
even if you are in an
UNTHANKFUL mood.
And you will
EXPERIENCE
REAL THANKFULNESS
like you have never EXPERIENCED it before.
Because
GOD knows what HE is talking about.
And all HE asks is for
you and I to~
"Be cheerful no matter what;
pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens.
This is the way GOD wants you who belong to CHRIST JESUS to live"
