I can SEE now what GOD has wanted me to SEE for so long.
I got caught in the trap that I thought I would never be caught in again.
The PERFECTION cycle~
If you do this, then I will LOVE you
&
If you don't do this, then I will not LOVE you.
LOVE isn't a bungee cord.
LOVE isn't dependent on PERFECTION
because PERFECTION is humanly impossible to attain.
For what is PERFECTION?
PERFECTION is based on meeting
the EXPECTATIONS that you place on yourself
and the EXPECTATIONS that others place on you.
So if I don't meet your EXPECTATIONS
and if you don't meet my EXPECTATIONS,
then is our RELATIONSHIP void of LOVE?
Think about it. Really think about it.
Would LOVE even exist if it was based on
PERFECTION?
If LOVE was based on PERFECTION
then why did GOD not get rid of
Adam & Eve
for not meeting
HIS EXPECTATION
of
"And the LORD GOD commanded the man,
'You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die' " (Genesis 2:16).
Hmm,
because there stood EVE with apple juice dripping from her lips.
Oh Eve how could you? Oh Adam how could you?
Oh how they failed the PERFECTION test!
Where was LOVE now?
Did it leave the garden never to be found again?
What if LOVE was based on PERFECTION?
Where would you be today?
UNLOVED.
Life void of LOVE is no life at all.
BUT GOD would not have it.
For GOD IS LOVE
and GOD did something about it.
"But GOD clearly shows and proves HIS own LOVE for us,
by the fact that while we were still sinners, CHRIST died for us" (Romans 5:8)
Who would choose to DIE for the IMPERFECT?
JESUS!
Who would choose to cover you with a PERFECTION that you don't deserve?
JESUS!
But why would GOD LOVE you & I when we can never meet HIS EXPECTATIONS?
Because HE KNOWS we can't on our own.
If HIS first CREATIONS couldn't be PERFECT
when they lived in the
PERFECT CIRCUMSTANCES
how could we ever be PERFECT enough to be
LOVED PERFECTLY enough.
We can't.
Oh what a BEAUTIFUL WORLD it would be
if we all wore
GOD's GRACE
by wearing JESUS
who is the only
PERFECT
that meets all expectations.
HIS PERFECT LOVE
covers
ALL
our
BROKEN IMPERFECTIONS~
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in CHRIST JESUS" (Romans 8:1)
GOD PERFECTLY LOVES
IMPERFECT me & IMPERFECT you
forever & ever & ever & beyond that, for
"neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of GOD that is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD" (Romans 8:39).
What if GOD gave up on Adam & Eve
because they did not meet HIS PERFECT EXPECTATIONS,
would there be such a thing as
"GRACE"?
