Day 20: Let Go

The hardest part of life is

LETTING GO.

 It is in the

LETTING GO

of what you hold most dear to your heart.

For when

 GOD

asks you to

LET GO,

HE is not taking away

as HE is giving you

MORE.

MORE OF HIM in the middle of LESS.

So how do you LET GO

when LOVE

wants to hold on so tightly?

LOVE TRUSTS GOD

with what you LOVE most.

Don't you hold onto to what you value most?

But what if what you value most,

does not want to hold onto you?

Do you do everything in your power to hold on tighter,

or do you

LET GO your ALL to GOD,

because ALL is HIS anyway.

LETTING GO is entrusting

your HEART,

everything that is on it

to the ONE who created your HEART.

I think of the father of the prodigal

who so loved his sons,

that he gave his one son his inheritance early,

because his son asked for it.

He said his good byes to his son with his mouth,

but I am sure that he was holding onto him in his heart.

For how do you let your child go.

For how did GOD let HIS CHILD go?

For HE had a bigger plan.

A life saving plan.

And it took a SACRIFICE.

It is a sacrifice for me to let go of LOVE.

A LOVE that LOVES the child.

A LOVE that LOVES so big,

that it has to

LET GO

but to LET GO

to GOD who LOVES bigger than I could ever LOVE.

For there stood the father,

who graciously said good bye to his son.

His son left.

But then it happened.

The father saw his son in the distant.

Coming home.

Oh the father’s heartbeat came back,

as he ran right to him and gave him a welcome home

filled with a LOVE that was indescribable.

No questions asked.

Just welcome home son.

What if the father tried to keep his son as his own.

Where would the welcome home be?

What if GOD kept HIS SON to HIMSELF,

where would our WELCOME HOME be?

Oh that glorious moment of reconciliation that was forever.

To live is to die, to die is to gain.

To die to self. and to live for JESUS,

who GOD gave to ALL of us.

For ALL of the prodigals.

For I once was lost, but then I was found by the

ONE who LOVED me back together with a

 LOVE

that is mine to share.

As we have been FASTING through this season of lent,

from the weights of the world,

GOD has emptied me once again of SELF,

so that I would experience the depth of

HIS LOVE

that is indescribable.

GOD'S LOVE fills in every hole in your heart

that has lost what is most dear.

HIS LOVE comes with a vengeance,

but a good vengeance.

To RESTORE all that was lost

with an

I LOVE YOU

YOU ARE MINE FOREVER.

HE is the MORE in the middle of my LESS.

I LET GO, and it hurts at times,

but as I LET GO to GOD

HE doesn't leave me with a gapping hole,

for HE fills it with MORE of HIMSELF.

LETTING GO is hard to do, yet part of life.

But LETTING GO TO GOD

is the sweet spot of experiencing HIS LOVE that LOVES

beyond the hole that is left behind.

Is GOD asking you to LET GO of

that something

or that someone

that you LOVE so big,

that it hurts to even think about your life

without it or without he or she?

LETTING GO is not saying good bye forever,

for it is saying

GOD I LOVE YOU SO MUCH

that I will

LOVE YOU with

ALL my heart

ALL my soul

and

ALL my mind

because

"GOD IS LOVE"
