Day 20: Ageless

The moment the clock struck 12:00

I became

756 months

or

3287 weeks

or

 23,010 days

or

552,240 hours

or

33,134,400 minutes

or

1,988,064,000 seconds...

Or in simpler terms

63 years old!

Not that is a lot of

TICK, TICK,TICKS.

But

ONCE UPON A TIME AGO

I was 21 years old

and

I wish I was 63 at 21.

For if I was,

I would have

not taken offense,

not taken defense,

not carried worries,

not searched for the meaning of life in the wrong places,

not carried anger & bitterness,

not be so full of fear & doubt,

and

not thought of GOD as a joy stealer

and

not believed that JESUS was just a religion

and

not thought that a conviction was condemnation.

But now that I am 63

I bet when I am 64 I will wish that I was

64 at 21,

because

every minute

every day

every week

every month

every year

every

SECOND

GOD keeps

UNWRAPPING me,

getting closer to my heart

as HIS SPIRIT

 continues to

transform me into the likeness of

JESUS,

so that no matter my age

and no matter your age,

"our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful

 as GOD enters our lives and we become like HIM" 

(2 Corinthians 3:18).

TICK. TICK. TICK.

And don't you feel the years of age

fall off of you.

I feel I get

 younger & younger & younger,

as I continue to get older & older & older,

because

JESUS

continues to release

the

little playful girl inside of me

as HE releases

the CHILD~LIKE FAITH

deep inside my heart.

Oh the freedom

of

LIVING IN CHRIST

that sets you

FREE,

UNWRAPPING you

to be the

CHILD who GOD created you to be,

FORGIVEN & FAVORED & FREE~

"For you are all children of GOD through faith in CHRIST JESUS" (Galatians 3:26).

GOD said so and JESUS made it so.

The years just start falling off,

as I am so

THANKFUL

that I am

AGELESS IN JESUS

and

feel more like a 12 year old

who can be silly & giddy,

because I know that I have a

FATHER who LOVES me

&

A SON who SAVED me

&

A HOLY SPIRIT who EMPOWERS me,

to live above all things that come my way.

TICK. TICK. TICK.

I am

FREE to be the me

&

 you are

FREE to be the you

who GOD created you to be

in the here & now,

in every

SECOND

because

" if the SON sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

I can look back over the lost SECONDS

of my past

and

start wishing

 I

should have

could have

and

would have

done things differently

and

acted differently,

but

that just steals the precious

SECONDS of today.

TICK. TICK. TICK.

"But here is the one thing I do.

 I forget what is behind me.

 I push hard toward what is ahead of me.

 I push myself forward toward the goal to win the prize.

 GOD has appointed me to win it.

The heavenly prize is CHIRST JESUS HIMSELF" (Philippians 3:13).

Do I wish I was 63 at 21?

I don't think so,

as I will be only wasting away

the

 GIFT OF THE SECONDS

that GOD has given me in this very

SECOND.

TICK. TICK. TICK.

Will you join me

and

THANK GOD

for another precious

SECOND

that we get to spend with 

HIM,

because

GOD makes every 

SECOND

last forever,

because

IN CHRIST

we are

 AGELESS.
