What if GOD CLOSED the DOOR to SPRING,
just because a little
GROUNDHOG
sees his SHADOW
and runs back through
the DOOR of his HOLE,
but just not for another 6 weeks of winter,
but for eternity?
Hmm.
What if GOD did depend on the choices of others
to decide your fate?
Ouch!
But don't we live like that at times,
when we do place our TRUST in another
to determine our fate?
Today is
GROUNDHOG DAY.
All will be gathered for this yearly event,
to see if Winter will be longer or shorter.
Who decides this?
A GROUNDHOG.
Think about it.
A GROUNDHOG'S
weather prediction ability
is
TRUSTED,
while the
GROUNDHOG
is just being a
GROUNDHOG,
having no idea that
it is deciding whether or not
Winter will be longer or shorter.
What if life was that easy,
in that the ANSWERS to all your prayers
will be determined
by
your seeing your SHADOW or not.
If you see your SHADOW ,
then you will have
your ANSWER
to your prayer.
If you don't see your SHADOW,
then you
won't have your ANSWER.
Let's try it.
Go outside.
Ask GOD a question.
Now if you see your shadow then you will have to wait
another 6 weeks for your ANSWER to come.
If you don't see your SHADOW,
you will have your answer
sooner than you thought.
So if you know when your ANSWER is coming,
then would you still be waiting for it come
or would you be
filled with
PEACE because you know GOD WILL ANSWER.
Therefore,
does GOD's timing matter if you KNOW HE WILL ANSWER?
What if the snow never melted?
IS GOD STILL GOD?
Is HE STILL IN CONTROL?
Does HE STILL LOVE
you unconditionally as HIS CHOSEN ADOPTED son/daughter?
Does HE STILL listen to your cries and wipes your tears?
Does HE STILL rejoice over you with singing?
Does HE STILL want freedom in every area of your life?
Does HE STILL carry your burdens?
Does HE STILL fill you with strength when you are weak?
Does HE STILL give you the PEACE that transcends all understanding? Does HE STILL turn into good the not so good in your life?
YES! YES! YES!
What are you waiting for to SPRING up in your life?
What is your heart set on to happen before you can truly enjoy your life?
Whether in the frigid snow,
or in the grayest of grays,
or the sunniest of sun,
no matter what season of life you are in,
GOD IS STILL GOD,
FOREVER FAITHFUL.
GOD' S DOOR IS ALWAYS OPEN FOR YOU
even if a DOOR is shut in your life.
For GOD isn't a SHADOW that just comes and goes.
Sounds so silly doesn't it,
but don't we live like that at times
when the Winter's of life strive to get the best of us.
So I ask you,
what if SPRING never comes,
does that mean GOD has shut the DOOR in your life
or is HE OPENING A NEW DOOR~
"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert"
(Isaiah 43:19).
Therefore,
don't be like the
GROUNDHOG,
and crawl back into your
hole and live in the
SHADOWS OF DOUBT.
For
GOD IS GOD
in
Winter,
Spring,
Summer
and
Fall.
HE never changes.
Let GOD be the rock you stand on
in this ever changing wobbly world.
May your heart bloom with
HIS GLORIOUS PRESENCE
no matter what season you are experiencing
for
"The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my GOD is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold"
(Psalm 18:2).
Whether the Groundhog sees its shadow today or not,
GOD is
"STILL MY GOD"
