They all came because
they all were invited,
even though their invitation began with
"DO NOT BE AFRAID".
Now would you R.S.V.P. "yes" to a party invitation
that began with the words~
"DO NOT BE AFRAID"?
Hmm.
I would immediately be afraid.
But then one by one they took a moment to hear the rest of the invitation.
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with GOD.
Listen carefully: you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a SON, and you shall name HIM JESUS" (Luke 1:30-31).
But then one by one they took a moment to hear the rest of the invitation~
“Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy SPIRIT. She will give birth to a SON, and you are to give HIM the name JESUS, because HE will save his people from their sins" (Matthew 1:20-21). But then one by one they took a moment to hear the rest of the invitation.
"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night... 'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Today in the town of David a SAVIOR has been born to you;
HE is the MESSIAH, the LORD.
This will be a sign to you:
You will find a BABY wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger'” (Luke 2:8-12). Would you come to the party
when "DO NOT BE AFRAID" is about a Birth-Day party.
A NO FEAR celebration
because
who fears A BABY?
A BABY whose first words are a cry,
but not an ordinary cry
but a cry that takes away
all fear~
because it is a cry of
HOPE.
Oh how fear is wiped away
the moment you look into
THE BABY'S eyes
who is swaddled in a manger
because you answered the
BIRTH-DAY INVITATION~
“'Let’s get over to Bethlehem as fast as we can
and see for ourselves what GOD has revealed to us.'
They left, running, and found Mary and Joseph, and THE BABY lying in the manger.
Seeing was believing" (Luke 2:15-16)
Oh "DO NOT BE AFRAID"
because
who is afraid
of a BIRTH-DAY party
that is really a party
for you
that lasts a lifetime into forever
because
"OH WHAT A GLORIOUS NIGHT" (listen to the song below)
