Day 2: A Second Of Peace

You only have a SECOND.

And this SECOND is going to be your best SECOND. 

Because in this SECOND

you are experiencing

THE PEACE THAT TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING.

But then the PEACE stops,

because you are trying to UNDERSTAND

how you could have

PEACE in this SECOND,

 because

you know that you should not have

PEACE 

because your circumstances are not

PEACEFUL.

Have you ever been there?

You want PEACE.

And GOD fills you with HIS PEACE.

But then you question whether you really are experiencing

PEACE, 

because you can't

UNDERSTAND

how you can have

PEACE

in the midst of everything that is

 UN~PEACEFUL

in your life.

Therefore,

you start to

UN~TRUST

that you can actually have PEACE.

STOP.

PEACE is a beautiful FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT.

PEACE is who JESUS is.

Circumstances don't change JESUS.

Feelings don't change JESUS.

And that is why

 PEACE TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING,

because

PEACE is the FRUIT of TRUST,

a

TRUST IN GOD with ALL your HEART.

For TRUST does not TRUST

in circumstances or feelings,

but in GOD.  

And TRUST does not

LEAN ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING (Proverbs 3),

because

why would you need to

   TRUST IN GOD

if you had everything that you ever wanted.

TRUST gives you ALL WHO you NEED in every SECOND. 

TRUST is the FRUIT of HOPE.

For who HOPES for what he already has (Romans 8:24).

What if every relationship in your life was PERFECT.

What if every circumstance in your life was PERFECT.

What if your body was PERFECT.

What if your home was PERFECT.

What if your finances were PERFECT.

Where would PEACE be?

PEACE would be fleeting.

PEACE would be based on

your ever-changing relationships,

circumstances,

your body,

your home,

 your finances,

and

 your _____________.

Therefore,

where would TRUST be?

TRUST would be in

 your ever-changing

relationships,

 circumstances,

your body,

your home,

 your finances,

and

your _____________.

Therefore,

where would HOPE be?

HOPE would be in

your ever-changing

relationships,

circumstances,

 your body,

your home,

 your finances,

and

 your _____________.

Therefore,

where would JESUS be?

Why would JESUS have wasted

HIS SECONDS

to become a BABY,

to become a MAN,

to be nailed to DEATH,

to be BURIED,

and then

to RISE?

So that all of us, these little humans

who are just sojourners passing through this life,

could have

PERFECT PEACE,

PERFECT TRUST,

and

PERFECT HOPE

in

 ALL

our

EVER`CHANGING

IMPERFECT

relationships,

circumstances,

body,

home,

finances,

and

_______________.

And it only takes a

SECOND

to INVITE JESUS

into every

 SECOND.

Because

where

JESUS IS invited,

 HIS PEACE

washes away your most ANXIOUS SECOND,

as you

TRUST GOD with ALL the IMPERFECT in your life,

so that

HOPE IS RESTORED

because your

HOPE

is placed where it belongs~

in the PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST.

"Therefore

we do not become discouraged [spiritless, disappointed, or afraid].

Though our outer self is [progressively] wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day by day"*

(2 Corinthians 4:16).

You only have this SECOND.
