DAY 1O: Sponge Faith

I am like a sponge.

I absorb what is around me.

Whatever the vibe, I own it.

You are in a bad mood, I feel it.

You are in a good mood, I feel it.

I am externally stimulated.

I don't try to be, as it just happens.

So when I sit with GOD

I immediately become ABSORBED IN HIM.

My problem is that when I leave my time of STILLNESS with HIM

I forget that HE is ABSORBED IN me.

HE hasn't left me.

But oh how just stepping out of my bubble.

I want to run back into my

sweet precious STILLNESS time when it is just me & HIM.

BUT GOD hasn't left me.

HE is right where HE was in my time of STILLNESS.

For HE IS FAITHFUL always, even when my FAITH wavers~

"If we are faithless, HE remains faithful, for HE cannot deny HIMSELF" (2 Timothy 2:13)

For HE has been FAITHFUL from the very beginning~

"Know therefore that the LORD your GOD is GOD, the faithful GOD who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love HIM

and keep HIS commandments, to a thousand generations" (Deuteronomy 7:9)

So why do we struggle with FAITH, when GOD doesn't?

Is it because FAITH stretches us to a higher level of TRUST

that is beyond our own understanding~

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge HIM, And HE shall direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6)

So if GOD IS FAITHFUL

as HE is true to

HIS WORD

as

"GOD is not a man, that HE should lie" (Numbers 23:19)

then does my FAITH & your FAITH

build an ark on dry land just because GOD asks you to~

"By faith [with confidence in GOD and HIS word] Noah, being warned by GOD about events not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his family. By this [act of obedience] he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith"

(Hebrews 11:7)

Could you? Would you have?

I think I would have been a wee bit skeptical.

But isn't that what FAITH is?

Doing it anyway just because you TRUST GOD?

"Let us approach [GOD] with a true and sincere heart in unqualified assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for HE who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to HIS word]" (Hebrews 10:22-23)

Oh THE FAITH OF FAITH

that plugs into the power of

the INVISIBLE as we live in the VISIBLE,

SECOND BY SECOND,

so that you choose to build an ark when there is no water in sight,

because FAITH takes you beyond your comprehension to the

ONE who is

always

"FAITHFUL" (listen to the song below)
