Day 19: What If?

Have you ever boarded the WHAT IF train?

It starts with a thought about a reality in your life

that you are facing,

or

you know you will have to face.

And then it happens,

as all the worst case scenarios

start flooding your brain

as you board

the

WHAT IF

train.

And it is never a smooth ride,

because the

WHAT IFS

get bigger & get worse

as

fear, worry, anxiety, & hurt

become your traveling buddies.

The

WHAT IFS

turn into the

NOW WHATS

so that you are

headed to that not-so-good place.

Do you have a WHAT IF?

But

WHAT IF

you and I just let the

WHAT IF

 train pass by without boarding it~

because the

WHAT IFS

are just that,

the

WHAT IFS

that haven't happened & that may never happen,

But WHAT IF

you BELIEVED GOD instead?

WHAT IF you

faced a FEAR that is keeping you stuck from moving forward?

WHAT IF you

you faced a REALITY that you are brushing under the carpet,

even though you know it is there?

WHAT IF you LET GO of a habit that you are holding onto,

because you don't who who you would be without it?

WHAT IF you INVITED JESUS

into those BROKEN spaces and places of your heart,

because HE came to HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED?

WHAT IF you wanted MORE than just living at status quo,

just surviving until you arrive, yet you just never seem to arrive?

WHAT IF you TRUSTED GOD

for all your WHAT IF'S that are just

wrapped up in worst case scenarios?

BUT WHAT IF

GOD IS who HE says HE IS

and

 WHAT IF

JESUS IS who GOD says JESUS IS

and

WHAT IF

JESUS IS who HE says HE IS~

because

JESUS DID what HE SAID HE would do.

Yup.

THE GRAVE IS EMPTY.

Yup.

Even DOUBTING THOMAS no longer DOUBTED,

because Thomas had the courage to question JESUS

in the midst of his DOUBTS.

WHAT IF your DOUBTS turn into questions

that you present to GOD,

so that HE could turn all your

 DOUBTS

into

TRUSTING HIM,

because

you are experiencing a

RELATIONSHIP

that beats life into a lifeless heart.

Because LIFE without JESUS isn't LIFE. 

Do you want HIS IMMEASURABLY MORE?

WHAT IF you ASKED?

"GOD can do anything, you know—

far MORE than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!

HE does it not by pushing us around but by working within us,

HIS SPIRIT

 deeply and gently within us"

(Ephesians 3:20).

And what is HIS MORE?

EXPERIENCING HIS PEACE in the midst of ANXIETY. 

EXPERIENCING HIS HOPE in an HOPELESS circumstance.

EXPERIENCING HIS LOVE when REJECTED. 

EXPERIENCING HIS JOY when you are not HAPPY.

WHAT IF your EXPERIENCING GOD is IMMEASURABLY MORE

than you could ever imagine,

because

your EXPERIENCING JESUS IS THE MORE

that you have been searching for?

Because

JESUS IS GOD'S YES to all your questions.

"For as many as are the promises of GOD, IN CHRIST they are [all answered] “Yes.”

So through HIM we say our “Amen” to the glory of God"

(2 Corinthians 1:9:20).

So why not

have a CHRISTMAS IN JULY,

because
