Day 19: The Silence Of God

It is a silent morning,

except for the sounds of the outside

of all the little critters just communicating

in languages I don't understand.

It is a silent morning

and now the sprinklers just popped on

adding to the orchestra of the sounds of the outside.

It isn't a silent morning outside,

yet in my inside it is.

I just am.

This is a rare occurrence

as I am so STILL

that I am just sitting in WAIT~

as I want to hear what GOD has for me.

Tears now trickle down my face

and I don't know why.

I close them, and continue to move my fingers along the keyboard

wanting for some revelation,

when actually I am sitting in the revelation

and hearing GOD.

For the silence

is GOD.

GOD never stops showing up.

This quietness. This peacefulness

This just being in the moment

WAITING for something new to happen in me

and around me

is making me miss this precious moment

of just being with GOD.

What if everyone in the world just stopped for a second

and was silent?

Would everyone be able to hear the

PRESENCE of GOD

and have the same tears I have in this

perfect STILLNESS that is unexplainable,

so that I don't want it to leave this moment.

And why?

Because GOD doesn't want to leave

being in our presence.

And all HE

wants is for ALL to show up,

and to

BE STILL & KNOW.

To KNOW what, or should I say to

KNOW WHO?

"The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;

HIS mercies never come to an end;

they are new every morning;

great is your faithfulness"

(Lamentations 3:22-23)

Try it.

WAIT in the silence with GOD

who can't WAIT to show up in your STILLNESS

because

HE will make you be oh so very STILL

that no words need to be said

because you become so overfilled with

HIM

that you become speechless

and never want to leave the STILLNESS.

But if GOD is everywhere

then STILLNESS is everywhere,

and all we have to do is just stop

to hear HIM.

OH JOYFUL JUNE!

"BE STILL AND KNOW"

(listen to the song below)
