You don't have to get GOD to like you
It doesn't matter how good you are.
It doesn't matter how bad you are
You don't have to get GOD to like you.
Try to convince GOD to unlike you.
You will lose.
"BUT GOD demonstrates HIS own love for us in this: While we were still sinners,
CHRIST died for us" (Romans 5:8).
BUT you may wonder if HE is talking to you,
and you may even remind HIM why HE shouldn't like you
because you have a big
BUT GOD I DID ____________
or a
BUT GOD _________ doesn't like me
or a
BUT GOD I don't feel very likable.
BUT GOD will leave you there
yet still be waiting for you to
ALLOW HIM
to not only like you
BUT to LOVE YOU.
BUT is GOD'S LOVE ENOUGH
when you don't feel not
ENOUGH
or have ENOUGH of what you crave?
Hmm.
You either BELIEVE GOD or you don't.
As GOD reminded me this morning that
HIS WORD is HIS LOVING HEART
that speaks to every HEART
and fills every HEART
that RECEIVES HIS LOVE
that is found in
HIS SON~
"So, what do you think? With GOD on our side like this, how can we lose?
If GOD didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us,
embracing our condition and exposing HIMSELF to the worst by sending HIS own SON,
is there anything else HE wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?
And who would dare tangle with GOD by messing with one of GOD'S chosen?
Who would dare even to point a finger?
The ONE who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of GOD at this very moment sticking up for us.
Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and CHRIST'S love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing...
None of this fazes us because JESUS loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing
—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and GOD'S love because of the way that JESUS our Master has embraced us" (Romans 8:35-40 MSG).
So does
GOD LIKE YOU?
