Everyone has heard about the boy
who killed a giant with
a slingshot and some stones.
Everyone has heard about the man
who killed the husband of the
woman who he had an affair with.
DAVID~
who is called
A Man After GOD'S OWN HEART.
Hmm.
A man who did right, but a man who did not so right.
How could he be called a Man After GOD'S OWN HEART?
Because DAVID LOVED GOD
with all his heart soul and mind.
Because he failed.
Because he didn’t stay there.
Because he humbled himself to the LORD.
And came back to the LORD as broken.
Because he is part of JESUS' dysfunctional family.
Because he abided in a relationship with HIS LORD as he never stopped
talking to HIS LORD, as he wrote the Psalms.
Because he was vulnerable.
Because he was authentic.
Because his FAITH was bigger than his fear.
As his FAITH killed a giant, and the stones where just a prop.
To show how everything pales to the power of FAITH.
As FAITH wins every time
The LOVE of FAITH: LOVING GOD with all your heart.
The PEACE of FAITH: LOVING JESUS with all your soul.
The JOY of FATIH: LOVING THE HOLY SPIRIT with all your mind.
Oh having a HEART OF FAITH
is what we are called to have
as we are all called to be
a man and a woman after GOD'S OWN HEART
Who comes like David.
As real.
As authentic.
As BROKEN
with a broken and contrite heart~
"My only sacrifice [acceptable] to GODis a broken spirit; A broken and contrite heart
[broken with sorrow for sin, thoroughly penitent], such, O GOD, YOU will not despise"
(Psalm 51:17 AMP).
Oh the sweet spot
where GOD pours out HIS FORGIVING EVERLASTING LOVE
because
all GOD wants is your HEART
because GOD gave us ALL HIS HEART
that day on the CROSS
when JESUS became BROKEN.
Because IN CHRIST BROKEN is never final.
BROKEN is BETTER.
Think about it.
What is better broken?
A pinata. A nut. An egg.
Your HEART.
Are you after GOD'S OWN HEART?
Oh if you aren't, COME.
If you are, keep COMING
and never stop
COMING
because the ONE who was BROKEN for you is calling you to
COME to ME all who are weary and I will give you rest.
Only JESUS makes
BEAUTIFUL out of BROKEN.
Therefore,
live as
A man after GOD'S OWN HEART
&
live as
A woman after GOD'S OWN HEART
and draw so close to
the ONE whose one desire is to draw so close to you
IN EVERY SECOND,
so you never keep
