FAITH sees HOPE
EVEN THOUGH their is no HOPE
to be seen~
"Though the fig tree does not blossom
And there is no fruit on the vines,
Though the yield of the olive fails
And the fields produce no food,
Though the flock is cut off from the fold
And there are no cattle in the stalls"*
Because FAITH is a choice~
"Yet I will [choose to] rejoice in the LORD;
I will [choose to] shout in exultation in
the [victorious] GOD of my salvation!"*
Because FAITH doesn't depend on self~
"The LORD GOD is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army];
HE has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet
And makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence]
on my high places [of challenge and responsibility]" (Habakkuk 3:17-19)
FAITH looks beyond EVEN THOUGH~
"Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for YOU are with me;
YOUR rod [to protect] and YOUR staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.
YOU prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
YOU have anointed and refreshed my head with oil.
My cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life,
And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the LORD" (Psalm 23)
