I never felt like I BELONGED anywhere.
My feet where on the ground,
but it always felt like foreign soil.
It could be because we have lived in many states.
It could be that GOD never wanted me to feel
as if I BELONGED anywhere,
because HE wanted me to BELONG TO HIM.
I love the Dr. Seuss saying,
"Why are you trying to fit in when you were made to stand out"
And FITTING IN is what I strived to do,
as I became a people pleaser through perfectionism and performance,
and believed that
maybe just maybe if you like what I do then you will like me too,
and then I will BELONG.
Well at the ripe age of 61 as I look over my life,
I wasn't created to BELONG to this world
and
GOD wouldn't allow it.
HE knows me way too well,
because HE has better plans for me.
Either I BELONG to the world or I BELONG TO GOD~
HIS WORLD that is out of this world.
I have to admit that I wish JESUS could just come back
and make all things NEW
and restore all that is broken~
from feelings, circumstances and relationships~
so we can all live happily ever after
right where we are on this earth.
Wouldn't that be wonderful if in this moment
all your dreams came true
and you could enjoy every waking moment
without
fear, pain, hurt, sorrow, doubt, and grief
because
JESUS made all things NEW?
Oh one day, as HE promises~
"HE will wipe every tear from your eyes, ___________*(put your name).
There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain,
for the old order of things has passed away" (Revelation 21:4)
But we do get a taste of heaven here on earth
IN CHRIST~
HEAVEN ON EARTH!
Because this isn't our real HOME~
"For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our everlasting home in heaven" (Hebrews 13:14)
And our REAL HOME is a place where JESUS has prepared a place at HIS TABLE
and it is going to be beyond even our best expectations.
So my desire to always want to BELONG and to FIT IN are humanly normal,
but these desires have been met
in the here &now
because
I BELONG TO GOD
and
LIVING IN CHRIST
is where I FIT IN.
PEACE & JOY return to my soul!

"Why try so hard to FIT IN when you were made to STAND OUT".
STANDING OUT may not get the applause you desire here on earth,
but no one's applause will get you into heaven
because
IN CHRIST is where everyone BELONGS.
So
PUT HIM IN YOUR STORY~
"Therefore _________* do not lose heart. Though outwardly _________* you are wasting away, yet inwardly _________*, you are being renewed day by day.
For your light and momentary troubles are achieving for you an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
So we fix your eyes, _________*, not on what is seen, but on what is unseen,
since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal"
(2 Corinthians 4:16-18).
