There is a BATTLE that is going on.
And it happens INSIDE of you.
Your MIND.
So I ask you,
WHAT IS ON YOUR MIND?
You become what you are THINKING about.
Are there WORDS from
THE PAST
that you just can't FORGET,
as you recite them over and over again
expecting them to go away?
Is there a SOMETHING that you did,
that you can't FORGET?
Is there a SOMEONE who did a SOMETHING
to you that you can't FORGET?
Oh your MIND IS THE BATTLEFIELD
where
THE PAST loves to play,
to lure you into
BELIEVING
THE WHATS
and
THE WHOS
that are on your
MIND,
so that
you start going downhill
and
FORGET
THE WHO IS
standing on the
HILL.
THE ONE WHO ALWAYS WINS THE BATTLE.
For
"All battles are first won or lost, in the mind" (Joan of Arc).
So let me rephrase the question.
WHO IS ON YOUR MIND?
For WHOMEVER it is,
it is the ONE who will WIN THE BATTLE.
Ready. Set. WIN.
For all you have to do is to
GIVE YOUR MIND to the ONE
who ALWAYS WINS THE BATTLE,
by PUTTING YOUR NAME* IN HIS TRUTH~
"YOU keep ________* in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on YOU, because ________* trusts in YOU" (Isaiah 26:3).
Then PEACE WILL BE on your MIND.
Oh the SWEET SPOT of turning your MIND over to
GOD,
as it is an ACTION.
A conscious CHOICE that only you can make
to TURN your THOUGHT LIFE over to GOD.
"We are not helpless victims or recipients of our thoughts.
We can choose to stop our thoughts and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of CHRIST. Thoughts of lust, thoughts of anger, thoughts of fear, thoughts of greed, bitter thoughts, evil thoughts – they are part of every thought that may be and must be brought into captivity to the obedience of CHRIST" (Guzik).
So why TAKE YOUR THOUGHTS CAPTIVE TO JESUS?
As an act of SURRENDER
of LETTING GO
to the
ONE
who ALWAYS WINS THE BATTLE
because
THE BATTLE belongs to HIM~
" ________* destroys arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of GOD, by taking every thought captive
to obey CHRIST"
(2 Corinthians10:5).
EVERY THOUGHT.
A THOUGHT is
" the content of what a person is thinking about" (bible sense lexicon).
So why am I even bringing this up.
Because I was fighting a BATTLE
this morning that was brewing in my MIND.
Did I start the BATTLE by conjuring up
THOUGHTS that I did not want to think about?
Oh no.
They came out of nowhere,
coming on strong,
because we have a real enemy
loves to come out of nowhere
and then start the
BATTLE.
So I had to lay down my weapons
to fight this BATTLE,
as the LIES were winning,
by PURPOSELY turning my MIND to
THE ONE who was GRACIOUSLY WAITING to WIN THE BATTLE.
GOD WON.
Because TRUTH ALWAYS WINS.
"Finally, ________*
whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8)
So if I am thinking about JESUS,
then I can't be thinking about someone else.
So if I am thinking about PEACE,
I can't be thinking about ANXIETY.
So if I am thinking about
TRUTH,
I can't be thinking about
LIES.
Try it.
It is quite simple,
as soon as you
BELIEVE GOD'S TRUTHS
that HE PLACES ON YOUR MIND.
So I ask you again,
WHO IS ON YOUR MIND?
If it isn't JESUS
then
why not?
Because
you were ALWAYS on HIS MIND~
