You hear the word
BEHOLD
and all your senses are caught at alert.
BEHOLD~
Feast one's eyes.
Comprehend.
Experience.
Participate.
Sense.
BEHOLD~
Great Anticipation.
Great Expectation.
BEHOLD gets your attention
as your SENSES are peeked,
so you STOP.
"BEHOLD, I am doing a NEW thing..." (Isaiah 43:19).
And then the word NEW stops you.
The word that changes everything
because
NEW is not old.
"BEHOLD, I make all things new" (Revelation 21:5).
NEW is not what was, but will be.
But how can "what was" be no longer?
Because
NEW demands a change,
that is happening to you.
"Therefore, if anyone is in CHRIST, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away; BEHOLD, the new has come" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
BEHOLD! NEW! IN CHRIST!
“BEHOLD, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a SON, and they shall call HIS name Immanuel, which is translated, 'GOD with us'."(Matthew 1:23)
So is this what CHRISTMAS is really about,
to BEHOLD the great NEW~
"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, BEHOLD,
I bring you good tidings of GREAT JOY, which shall be to ALL PEOPLE.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a SAVIOR, which is CHRIST the LORD"
(Luke 2:10-11)
Don't ever let these WORDS just become WORDS,
just because they are repeated every year at
CHRISTMAS.
Read them with all your senses,
as if your life depended on them,
because when you do
then the WORDS
GREAT JOY
ALL PEOPLE
SAVIOR
CHRIST THE LORD
would be worth BEHOLDING.
GREAT JOY is not a feeling.
ALL PEOPLE does not discriminate.
SAVIOR~
"Someone who rescues something from danger or violence; especially used of CHRIST as the one who rescued HIS people from their sins and the resulting danger of judgment" (logos)
SAVIOR is THE NEW that changes you,
because that is who a RESCUER is.
BEHOLD! NEW! IN CHRIST!
Ransomed.
Rescued.
Redeemed.
Did I just make the CHRISTMAS story complicated
or does BEHOLDING make you STOP~
to not just pause or to listen quickly.
Oh BEHOLD. Oh STOP.
For HE is the NEW that ALL people have been seeking,
yet can not imagine that this NEW is for them
or maybe for you.
Oh STOP as you simply
desire to keep CHRIST in CHRISTMAS.
But what if it is about keeping
CHRIST
NEW in your heart & in your mind
every day,
because don't we ALL
take a moment to
STOP to BEHOLD
the miracle of BIRTH
of a BABY
who STOPPED the world for a second
on that night
when the star shouted
"BEHOLD, I make all things NEW".
