As I look upon the still water
I clearly see the REFLECTION of the boats,
an exact representation of the real thing.
A mirror image.
It makes me think about what do I REFLECT?
What "REFLECTION" do others see of me when I LIVE UNMASKED?
Do they see the REAL me, my heart tucked inside of me?
Do they see the love of JESUS or not?
What aroma do I and you put off?
Is it reflective of our heart?
But where is your heart. But what is on your heart.
For where your heart is
that is what will be REFLECTED.
Oh how I want to be a pleasing aroma
that reveals JESUS in me~
who I so love & who so loves me~
"Live a life filled with love, following the example of CHRIST. HE loved us and offered HIMSELF as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to GOD" (Ephesians 5:2)
Oh how it is an impossible task on my own
as I stumble all the time
and leave an aroma of
anger
frustration
anxiety
bitterness

when I forget to do a heart check~
"Search me [thoroughly], O GOD, and know my heart;
Test me and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way" (Psalm 139:23-24)
And oh how freeing
to LIVE UNMASKED~BEING REAL WITH JESUS
so that HE gracefully UNMASKS
the hard parts
the hurting parts
the heavy parts
of our heart
and
replaces them
HIS FORGIVENESS
HIS LOVE
HIS PEACE
just so
we can
be HIS REFLECTION
be HIS AROMA
for all who see us.
Oh the stillness of the calm waters
that is now REFLECTED
from my heart
just because
I came
before my GOD UNMASKED
and asked HIM to
