You SEE it.
It is engulfed in flames,
yet it isn't burning.
And then you hear a voice
calling your name.
And it is coming from the bush.
What do you do?
I think I would pass out or run the other way.
But MOSES did not~
And Moses said, “I will turn aside to see this great sight,
why the bush is not burned”.*
And then MOSES heard the VOICE~
"When the LORD saw that he turned aside to see,
GOD called to him out of the bush, 'Moses, Moses!'...*
And MOSES did not pass out.
And MOSES didn't run the other way.
He responded~
“Here I am.”*
Can you picture it.
I get chills running down my spine.
As I wish I could experience the
talking burning bush,
that GOD uses to call my name.
And it is just me and HIM.
Oh to be in the PRESENCE OF THE LORD.
For when GOD asks you to remove your shoes,
you would remove your shoes,
“Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”*
IMMEDIATE OBEDIENCE.
To do what GOD INVITES you to do,
and you IMMEDIATELY do it
because it is GOD.
You open HIS WORD.
And you HEAR HIS VOICE
speaking right to your heart.
You look to the left.
You look to the right.
And you wonder if GOD is really SPEAKING to you.
How can GOD stop to SPEAK to you?
Why would GOD SPEAK to you?
But then,
WHY NOT?
Do you respond like MOSES~
"And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at GOD" *(Exodus 3).
Is GOD too HOLY for you to look at HIM?
Oh YES,
but GOD did something about that.
HE sends
HIS SON,
HIS GIFT OF GRACE,
for you, and me, and everyone else.
Is JESUS too HOLY for you to RECEIVE HIM?
Oh HE is beyond HOLY,
as to why HE wasn't wearing HIS shoes
and nothing else much,
when HE called your name,
but not from a burning bush
but a bloody cross.
And oh how if I heard my name coming from
THE CROSS,
how I would fall flat on my face
and weep uncontrollably,
as to
who am I that JESUS
would go to such great lengths
to provide
THE WAY
into a RELATIONSHIP
with
GOD,
who
showed up in
a burning bush
to MOSES.
Because that is what LOVE does.
Where am I going with this?
Well GOD brought the burning bush to me this morning,
to remind me that I get to come into
HIS PRESENCE
at any given moment,
because of HIS SON,
who INVITED me long ago,
calling my name
to
COME TO HIM.
Was I worthy?
Oh no.
And that is why HE CALLED me.
An INVITATION to
be covered completely with
HIS FORGIVENESS,
IMMEDIATELY!
Oh the FREE GIFT OF FORGIVENESS
just drips from the
CROSS
for ONE AND ALL
to
RECEIVE.
So that
when GOD calls your name,
you can look at HIM with
THE ASSURANCE OF FAITH
that
HE wants to SEE you
&
HE wants to TALK to you.
Because that is what LOVE does.
You SEE it.
The burning bush.
It is found in
THE BIBLE.
You OPEN it.
And then it happens.
You are standing on HOLY GROUND,
for GOD is INVITING you into a
conversation
that once you start it
you will never be the same.
Are you worthy?
Oh no way, and that is why
it is called
GRACE.
Do you need GRACE?
Do you need to give GRACE?
Will you FAST from whatever is keeping you from
RECEIVING GRACE
and
GIVING GRACE
by taking off your shoes
and sit in
HIS PRESENCE
and have a
ONE on ONE
with the ONE
who knows your hame
because
HE wants to be with you
forever and ever.
And that my friend is
why
they
