I had my first out of COVID experience.
It felt like a dream.
As we gathered together like it was an ordinary day.
as it started like all the others.
One at a time they came.
One year later,
yet it was like we were never apart.
But are we ever apart if we are all connected?
We didn't have to say a word as we greeted one another.
Our hearts said it all.
Oh we journeyed together through the year
from miles apart
as we experienced our
Sorrow & Joys
Losses & Gains
Breakdowns & Breakthroughs
because that is what
SISTERS do.
SISTERS born into different families,
yet all with the same
FATHER
who
gave us all the same name of
DAUGHTER.
Oh we RETREATED
as we nested together
being our best selves~
MESSY. IMPERFECT. FLAWED.
We were all so very excited
as we met with
Great anticipation & Great Expectation
knowing that we would never be same
on the day we would say good-bye.
Yesterday our good-byes were said,
yet we knew we never left.
I carry their stories in my heart
because their stories are my story
as we are all in the same book.
Different chapters & Different characters
yet with the same chapter titles of
I Was & Now I Am & I Will Be Never The Same
because of the
ONE
Who was & Who is & Who will continue
to write our stories.
I am a wee bit numb this morning,
yet a numbing that brings stillness to my soul
as tears run down my face
because I experienced a piece of heaven here on earth
this weekend
as we all gathered
TO RETREAT~
To Withdrawal
To Abandon
To Disengage
from ourselves
so that we could be ourself,
our perfect self~
MESSY. IMPERFECT. FLAWED.
with each other
because masks are ever never worn
to cover the
MESSY & IMPERFECT & FLAWED.
who are covered by the
ONE who covers the
MESSY & IMPERFECT & FLAWED
who are willing to show their scars
that HE has covered
because
they have made the choice to come to the ONE
with the scars in HIS hands & HIS feet
who takes the
MESSY & IMPERFECT & FLAWED.
and calls them HIS own
adopting them into HIS FAMILY
making them
SISTERS.
So today as we all begin another week
in different places & spaces
look up and know
that no matter where you are
you are connected
with all of the
MESSY & IMPERFECT & FLAWED
who
are looking up together shouting
