we are off to see the Wonderful Wizard of OZ.
But
Lions & Tigers & Bears
Oh My!
Oh My,
when a Lion becomes so cowardly.
If only he had the nerve~
THE COURAGE.
If only I had the nerve~
THE COURAGE
If only you had the nerve~
THE COURAGE to _________________.
I think of the cowardly lion.
A lion who I would cowardly retreat from
if I came face to face.
But if the lion doesn't believe he is a lion,
where is his COURAGE?
He needs to go to OZ to find it.
But we don't have to go that far to get it~
"For GOD has not given us a spirit of cowardice,
but of power, and of love, and of self-control"
(2 Timothy 1:7).
For GOD has
equipped us with
the COURAGE to face anything~
"The SOVEREIGN LORD is my strength; HE makes my feet like the feet of a deer, HE enables me to tread on the heights"
(Habakkuk 3:19).
Because GOD sent
A LION
with THE POWER
to give us
THE COURAGE
to STAND FIRM~
"Now it is GOD who makes both us and you stand firm in CHRIST. HE anointed us, set HIS seal of ownership on us, and put HIS SPIRIT in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come"
(2 Corinthians 1:21-22).
CONFIDENCE is not in self,
that is why the cowardly lion was so cowardly.
CONFIDENCE IN GOD gives you the COURAGE to face anything,
and THE HOLY SPIRIT gives you the power to do it.
And that is why it is called
GODFIDENCE~
STANDING TALL when you feel so small.
STANDING FIRM in the ONE who gives you the strength
to roar like a lion
in your weakest moments
in your fearful moments
in your unknown moments.
What lions, and tigers and bears do you need to face today with
GODFIDENCE?
Oh
STAND TALL today
by
CLOSING the DOOR
on
THE SPIRIT OF COWARDICE
because you can~
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged,
for the LORD your GOD will be with you wherever you go”
(Joshua 1:9).
Therefore,
if
GOD is with you wherever you go
why not
WALK with
"CONFIDENCE"
