HE did it again
like HE always does
when I get out of the way.
Oh the ARROWS have been flying the last couple of days
and I allowed them to get the best of me.
Each one wounding another part of my heart
that overcame me
that stole away the JOY of my heart and soul.
Where was Joni?
I didn't know because she was buried beneath the
silly little circumstances
that
came one at a time
with no time to
stop for a second and make them
NO LONGER AN OPTION.
So
DESPAIR
FRUSTRATION
&
DARKNESS
won the battle.
Where was Joni?
I asked the same thing.
Wow.
Oh how the little things
grow to be big things
when they are coming out at you
all at the same time.
It is like the constant beep beep beep
of a smoke detector
that reminds you at 2 am
that you need to change the battery.
Oh to just get up and change the battery,
but you are so tired that you give up.
Well
I changed my battery.
GOD woke me up
because there was JESUS
aware of every ARROW coming
and was just waiting for me to
Come to HIM
instead of just dragging HIM around
waiting for HIM to do something.
Oh the battle is fierce
even in the little beep beep beeps of life as
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy..."
BUT they are NO LONGER AN OPTION IN JESUS~
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10)
Oh GOD thank YOU for never giving up on us.
Thank YOU for always SHOWING UP
even when we forget to SHOW UP.
Oh the JOY OF THE LORD
has returned to my soul
because we were never created to do this thing called life
alone
because
