I don't KNOW who I am WITHOUT GOD.
Now that sounds silly,
but as I have been away from home
in new surroundings
meeting new people
I feel LOST,
because I am not doing what I LOVE to do.
I LOVE BEING with GOD.
I LOVE writing about GOD.
I LOVE planning women's events about GOD.
I LOVE leading bible studies.
I LOVE talking about GOD.
I LOVE being in GOD'S WORD.
I LOVE when GOD takes center stage of my LIFE.
So when I am not DOING what
I LOVE I feel LOST.
Does that make sense?
Do you ever feel lost when you are not doing what you LOVE to do?
Now GOD just got my attention
because
I AM NOT WITHOUT GOD.
HE hasn't left me.
GOD just doesn't show up when I am DOING for GOD.
GOD IS GOD.
GOD is the same GOD wherever I go
and HE wants me to experience HIM
wherever I am
no matter what I am feeling
and even when I can't even feel HIM.
And maybe that is why I feel LOST,
because I forgot for a wee second
that
GOD does take CENTER STAGE in my life.
So just because when I don't FEEL GOD
or if everyone around me isn't talking about GOD
it doesn't mean my GOD has left me.
It is a very vulnerable place
when I am away from
BEING with GOD by myself in my own little
GOD BUBBLE,
but wherever I go
I bring my GOD
because I am nothing
WITHOUT GOD.
For GOD never leaves
you & me & everyone else,
BUT instead HE shows up in a whisper
to remind you that
"I am a GOD who is everywhere and not in one place only.
No one can hide where I cannot see them.
Do you not know that I am everywhere in heaven and on earth?" (Jeremiah 23:23-24).
What PEACE washes over my soul that
just because I feel LOST without BEING with GOD,
I am not LOST
because GOD never stops BEING GOD.
I know this sounds RIDICULOUS,
but it is the RIDICULOUS
where GOD reveals
HIMSELF BIGGER
in my heart
because
GOD
LOVES RIDICULOUS me.
I am never WITHOUT GOD.
You are never WITHOUT GOD.
For HE was there in your beginning
and will be there in your end
and is walking with you in the middle~
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged,
for the LORD your GOD will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).
So my feeling
LOST
brought me to the sweet spot
because
I am really LOST
as
I am
"LOST IN YOUR LOVE"
