ONCE UPON A TIME . . .
A king was suffering from a painful ailment and was
told that the only cure for him was to find a
contented man, get his shirt, and wear it night and day.
So messengers were sent through the
king's realm in search of such a man,
with orders to bring back his shirt.
Months passed.
After a thorough search of the country,
the messengers returned without the shirt.
"Did you find a contented man in all my realm?", the king asked
'"Yes, O King, we found one, just one in all the realm."
"Then why did you not bring back his shirt?", the king demanded.
"Master, the man had no shirt."

Oh put me in his story!
Not the King's story,
but the man who had no shirt~
the most CONTENTED man in the kingdom.
CONTENTMENT~
The man who had no shirt.
CONTENTMENT~
The you who has no _______(fill in the blank).
Are you CONTENT without having that certain something or
that certain someone?
What is that certain something or who is that certain someone,
that if you had it or had ‘who’,
then would you really be CONTENT?
Oh how my eyes can move so quickly from what I do have to what I don't have when I am
depending on the somethings & the someones for
CONTENTMENT.
CONTENTMENT~
The man who had no shirt.
I wonder, what did the man have?
Was he
"joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer"
(Romans 12:12)?
Did he
"Cast all his anxiety on JESUS" (I Peter 5:7)
because he knew JESUS cared for him?
Did he
"seek first HIS kingdom and HIS righteousness" (Matthew 6:33)?
Did he learn the secret from Paul,
to be
"content whatever the circumstances" (Philippians 4:11)?
The man who had no shirt.
The me and the you, who have no _______,
but has learned to be CONTENT whatever the circumstances,
because
I,_______, (PUT your name) know what it is to be in need, and
I,_______ know what it is to have plenty.
I,_______ have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation,
whether
well fed or hungry,
whether living in plenty or in want,
whether I have a shirt or not because
I,_______ can do all this through HIM,
who gives me strength"

to be CONTENT,
because
when you are
WALKING WITH JESUS
you have MORE than you will ever need
to
LIVE ABUNDANTLY,
because
IN CHRIST
is where you will be
