Day 12: Unperfect

I am still STRIVING to be PERFECT.

To always respond~

PERFECTLY.

To always say the right thing~

PERFECTLY.

To always feel~

PERFECTLY.

To always choose

JESUS~

PERFECTLY

when the arrows of

TRIGGERS

come flying through the air

headed right to my heart.

Oh how I so desire to always RESPOND

just like JESUS would

in every circumstance

as I lean on HIM~

instead of leaning on

my feeling emotions

that make me be so

REACTIONARY.

For in those moments

I become so human

that I REACT

with every full blown emotion~

PERFECTLY~

opposite of how I want to RESPOND.

Oh I wish

TRIGGERS were NO LONGER AN OPTION,

but they are and always be

as long as we walk this earth being our

PERFECTLY human selves.~

"It happens so regularly that it’s predictable.

The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up.

I truly delight in GOD'S commands, but it’s pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge.

I’ve tried everything and nothing helps.

I’m at the end of my rope.

Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question?"*

Oh but GOD has provided the PERFECT RESPONSE to that question~

"The answer, thank GOD, is that JESUS CHRIST can and does.

HE acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve GOD with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different" *

(Romans 7:21-25).

So in these moments

I am gently reminded that

I will never ever ever

be the PERFECT JESUS RESPONDER

in every moment,

But

JESUS will always be my

PERFECT RESPONDER

as I continue to

make HIM my ONLY OPTION

after I have REACTED in my humanism

just because

JESUS nailed every

IMPERFECT part of me

and every IMPERFECT part of you

on that

PERFECT CROSS

so we don't have to strive to

PERFECTLY RESPOND to all TRIGGERS,

when instead we can look at JESUS

as HE looks back at us

with HIS FACE of FORGIVENESS

that washes IMPERFECT away

as we become enveloped in

HIS

"PERFECT LOVE" (listen to the song below)
