I am an ant.
A tiny speck in a sea of ants.
Actually probably a grain of sand.
And if you tried to find me
from looking from an airplane
you couldn't even see me.
And guess what~
so are you.
Hmm.
Doesn't that make you think so much more of yourself.
Actually it makes me think more of myself
because why would
GOD even bother to
SEE me or you.
For when
"I look up at YOUR macro-skies, dark and enormous,
YOU handmade sky-jewelry,
Moon and stars mounted in their settings.
Then I look at my micro-self and wonder,
Why do YOU bother with us?
Why take a second look our way" (Psalm 8:3-4 MSG)
Stop a second. Really stop a second.
Look up.
It will really blow your mind.
No matter how small you may feel.
No matter how small you may think you are.
GOD made the ants.
GOD made the sand.
I feel oh so tiny right now
and I love it.
UN~INVISIBLE
IN HIS SIGHT
as HE holds onto me
and HE holds onto you
into forever.
For if you were just an ant
HE could pick you out
in an instant
because HIS SON
covers me
&
covers you
so that you are SEEN
always as HIS~
"I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from ME, for MY FATHER has given them to ME, and HE is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the FATHER'S hand.
The FATHER and I are ONE" (John 10:28-30)
I will never look at an ant the same
as I look up to the vastness of the sky
and ask
Who am I?
And oh
HE responds with a smile
and a belly laugh like a proud papa~
"See, I have engraved you on the palms of MY hands" (Isaiah 49:16)
I am in awe.
I like being an ant,
HIS ant
forever & forever & forever.
Stop a second. Really stop a second.
Look up.
