CONTENTMENT isn’t found in what I see.
CONTENTMENT isn’t found in what I am feeling.
CONTENTMENT isn’t found in what I am doing.
Because if CONTENTMENT was found in all that I see and feel and do,
what if I don’t like how I feel because of what I see or do?
Hmm.
Think about it.
I have been there. I have done it.
But when I stop searching for CONTENTMENT and just rest in
RIGHT NOW
I already feel lighter.
It wasn't until
FAITH became my eyesight.
FAITH~
SEEING the UNSEEN.
FAITH~
FEELING the UNTOUCHABLE.
FAITH~
DOING the IMPOSSIBLE.
Because
FAITH IS JESUS.
To SEE CONTENTMENT~
"looking away from all that will distract us
and
focusing our eyes on JESUS..."
(Hebrews 2:1).
To FEEL CONTENTMENT~
"...the joy of the LORD is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10).
To DO CONTENTMENT~
"For we live by faith, not by sight"
(2 Corinthians 5:7).
Oh the weight of DIS~CONTENTMENT drops immediately,
when you stop searching for CONTENTMENT
and
just rest in HIM~
"Be still, and know that I am GOD"
(Psalm 46:10).
It sounds too EASY to be TRUE,
and that is why BEING STILL is so hard at times,
your life is running so FAST,
because you are running so FAST
that you don't think you have the
TIME to
BE STILL
to experience,
GOD.
Just try it.
SECOND by SECOND.
INHALE and say
JESUS.
EXHALE and say
JESUS.
And do it again.
And again.
And again.
And never stop.
You can
PRACTICE THE STILLNESS OF GOD,
even if you are running a marathon,
when you RUN WITH JESUS.
INHALE JESUS.
EXHALE JESUS.
Oh how
JESUS
will slow you down at a comfortable pace,
so you aren't just
RUNNING THROUGH LIFE
missing
THE MOMENTS
that GOD has GIFTED you.
A smile from a friend.
A butterfly flittering by.
A giggle from a child.
A wave from a stranger.
A just a sitting on a rocking chair,
rocking back and forth
just enjoying the rocking.
INHALE and EXHALE
JESUS.
For JESUS is the sweet spot of
CONTENTMENT,
because
JESUS is ALL YOU NEED in every MOMENT,
even if you don't have what you WANT.
Because
when JESUS becomes all that you NEED,
you realize that
HE is what you really WANTED
in the first place,
as
REAL PEACE
&
REAL HOPE
&
REAL JOY
transcends all your understanding,
TICK. TICK. TICK.
INVITE JESUS
into
every
empty spot that you are
waiting to SEE
the something or the someone happen,
or in the waiting to FEEL that something different,
or in the
waiting to be DOING something different from
what GOD has you doing now,
because
GOD is DOING more than you can fathom
in your every MOMENT,
for
SUCH A TIME AS THIS!
Therefore,
just ask
GOD
to
"KEEP YOU IN THE MOMENT"
