Day 12: Love Your Enemy

TO BE OR NOT TO BE

LOVE?

The question isn't about your being LOVED,

but TO BE LOVE,

to show LOVE,

to LIVE LOVE,

when you are with the UNLOVABLE.

But is anyone UNLOVABLE,

in the sight of JESUS?

"For there is no condemnation in CHRIST JESUS"

For the adulterous women~

"For there is no condemnation in CHRIST JESUS"

For the woman at the well~

"For there is no condemnation in CHRIST JESUS" 

For the crucifiers at the cross~

"For there is no condemnation in CHRIST JESUS"

For you, for me, and for everyone else~

"For there is no condemnation in CHRIST JESUS"

(Romans 8:1)

TO BE OR NOT TO BE LOVE?

What does JESUS say about this?

HE invites ALL to have a

BE~ATITUDE,

even when it is hard to do.

"But I say to you, _______________, (put your name)

LOVE,

that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for your enemies

and pray for those who persecute you,_____________"

(Matthew 5:44).

So I ask you,

 Who are your "enemies"?

Could it be those who are not LOVING you?

Are they really your enemy or are they

in need of THE LOVE OF JESUS?

"You’re familiar with the old written law,

‘Love your friend,’ and its unwritten companion,

 ‘Hate your enemy.’ I’m challenging that.

 I’m telling you, _______________, to love your enemies.

Let them bring out the best in you, _______________,not the worst.

When someone gives you a hard time,

 respond with the supple moves of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your GOD-created selves

. This is what GOD does.

 HE gives his best—the sun to warm and the rain to nourish—to everyone, regardless:

the good and bad, the nice and nasty. If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you

, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that.

In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up.You’re kingdom subjects"

Now live like it, _____________.

Live out your GOD-created identity.

 Live generously and graciously toward others,

the way GOD lives toward you”

(Matthew 5: 44-47).

Ouch.

Does it mean to be a doormat?

Oh not at all.

BE A DOORWAY,

by LOVING like JESUS so that HE shines through you.

TO BE LOVE is always possible,

whether it is in

turning the other cheek,

or

wiping the dust off your feet

or

just being quiet in prayer.

is there a someone that GOD is inviting you

TO LOVE LIKE JESUS?

So I ask you again,

TO BE or NOT TO BE LOVE?

Hmm.

For there is only one answer

IN CHRIST!

TO BE LOVE

to whomever crosses your path,

because

JESUS LOVES

the

"All the renegades,

the rebels,

 and the runaways.

 All the prodigals, who got a little lost along the way.

  All the backsliders, up all nighters, down in a rut. These are the ones .

 The ones that

JESUS LOVES"
