Day 12: Forgiveness Forgives

NEW.

BRAND NEW.

A NEW DAY.

TODAY is a DAY that you have never lived before.

Therefore,

you are a NEW you.

Yup!

You get to do what you never did before for the first time.

What will you do first?

Will you

FORGIVE that one person that you know that you need to

FORGIVE,

yet you just don't want to TODAY

 because you can do it TOMORROW?

For why would you FORGIVE,

and let them off the hook

 for taking responsibility for

what they did or didn't do,

because they are the one who has to say I AM SORRY. 

Hmm.

But FORGIVENESS lets the person off of your hook

 that is attached to

BITTERNESS,

ANGER,

FRUSTRATION,

and even

 HATE.

FORGIVENESS happens in your heart

that is between you and GOD.

A beautiful conversation that sets you

FREE.

"FATHER, forgive them, for they know not what they do"*.

Now you are FREE. 

They are off of your hook

 to owe you what they stole from you.

Did they steal

your PEACE,

your JOY,

your LOVE,

and

your HOPE,

because what they did

has been causing you

ANXIETY,

DESPAIR,

REJECTION,

and

HOPELESSNESS? 

Is your heart heavy laden

because you just can't let go of the offense against you?

Oh I know the pain of UN-FORGIVENESS.

UN-FORGIVENESS

 keeps playing the same offense over and over again in your mind and your heart,

so that it overtakes your soul.

What if GOD never FORGIVES?

Would HE keep playing over and over again all our offenses?

Ouch! But THANK GOD that HE DOES FORGIVE.

. And HE hasn't stopped.

FORGIVENESS was birthed on CHRISTMAS night,

for

JESUS was born for EASTER

for when

HE did the impossible

as HE bled to death~

“FATHER, forgive them, for they know not what they do"

*(Luke 23:34).

And HE was thinking about me.

And HE was thinking about you.

So why am I allowed to be FORGIVEN,

 yet I give myself permission to not

FORGIVE the UN-FORGIVEABLE.

Ouch.

Get Ready. Get Set. Go.
