Day 11: Voice Of Truth

Why is it so easy to BELIEVE the words of others,

yet not the words of JESUS?

As I sit here I am reminded of the words that others have

condemned me with,

that I owned as TRUTH

because it hurt me so

that the person would even think this of me.

Because I put such a high value on them,

I wore the words as my own.

Now I am not talking about not taking responsibility

for your part in a a conflict.

But what about when you are unjustly condemned,

do you keep reciting the same tape over and over again

and start to BELIEVE that the words are true.

Words such as~

You are not good enough.

You are unlovable.

You are a disappointment.

You can't. You won't. You will never be.

Have you heard them before?

Why is it so easy to BELIEVE the not so good words?

Oh I do it all the time,

and then I sit in the victim seat

and start bleeding to death in my pain and hurt

that starts to turn to anger and bitterness.

Hmm.

So why BELIEVE the UNBELIEVABLE

when you know the TRUTH

about yourself

that we are just messy human beings

trying our best to do our best.

But what if your best is never the best

for some who remind you constantly how you always fall short?

What if GOD reminded us every moment of every day of how we fall short?

Does GOD say in the bible,

"I can't believe _______*(put your name)

did that again. What are we going to do with _______?

How many times do I have to tell _______ to stop acting human.

I am finished with _______.

There is no hope for _______.

Let's move on JESUS and we find someone else who is worthy of OUR love".

Oh could you imagine?

But don't we treat GOD and JESUS like that when we don't BELIEVE HIS WORD?

"For there is no condemnation for _________ who is IN JESUS CHRIST" (Romans 8:1)

And

“I, even I, am hE who blots out your transgressions, _________* for MY own sake, and remembers your sins, ________* no more" (Isaiah 43:25).

So why is it easier to BELIEVE the words of condemnation that come from the mouths of others

and even ourselves when

"GOD

does not treat you, _______*, as your sins deserve or repay you, _______* according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is HIS love for you, _______* who fear HIM; as far as the east is from the west, so far has HE removed your transgressions from you, _______*.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on you, _______* who fear HIM; for HE knows how you, _______* are formed, HE remembers that we are dust" (Psalm 103:10-14).

Hmm.

So whose voice are you BELIEVING?

PUT HIM IN YOUR STORY

and

BELIEVE

the

"VOICE OF TRUTH" (listen to the song below)
