What if nothing is going your way
&
What if you have been PRAYING for the same thing
&
nothing still appears not to be going your way?
Do you throw the towel in?
Do you get angry with
GOD
because HE appears to be doing nothing
but sitting down on HIS job?
Oh you are so close to quitting,
but then you hear the gentle whisper~
"PRAY without ceasing"(I Thessalonians 5:17)
&
"....continuing steadfastly in PRAYER..." (Romans 12:12).
So you PRAYER harder,
yet something is missing
as you are so unsettled
as you become anxious
because you wonder if
GOD is really listening
&
if HE really HEARS your PRAYERS.
But then you hear the gentle whisper~
"but in everything [every circumstance and situation]
by PRAYER and petition WITH THANKSGIVING
continue to make your [specific] requests known to GOD"*
Oh how two words stop you in your tracks~
"WITH THANKSGIVING".
Oh to be THANKFUL in the midst of an unthankful situation
that you are PRAYING for GOD to change.
THANKSGIVING~
"grateful language (to GOD, as an act of worship)"(Strongs).
"GRATEFUL language" to GOD!
And now you really stop
because
it no longer becomes about
"the what" you are
ceasing not to PRAY about
because
you are so
THANKFUL
that
GOD goes beyond HEARING because HE chooses to listen.
And then it happens~
"And the peace of GOD [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace]
which transcends all understanding, [that peace which]
stands guard over your hearts and
your minds in CHRIST JESUS [is yours]" (Philippians 4:6-7 AMP)
And you finally get it
because
HIS PEACE
is HIS answer to your PRAYER
because you never cease
PRAYING WITH THANKSGIVING
because you are ever so
