She didn't care
or maybe she cared too much
that she didn't make it about herself
as she took the BOLD step
& approached the King
without being invited.
Oh death is the immediate sentence
if one defies the King,
but she did it anyway
because she cared too much.
ESTHER~
one of the many wives of King Xerxes
who had one mission in mind~
to rescue her people
as she was one of them,
yet the King did not know.
ESTHER
dressed in BOLDNESS
because of A REAL GOD
who drove her to do the impossible.
"I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16).
Those famous words of her, yet not her last~
because GOD was writing her story
and HE had a plan that was beyond what her eyes could see~
yet she did it anyway.
For she had to speak up
"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish.
And who knows but that you have come to your royal position..."
And then her next famous words
"...FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS?” (Esther 4:14).
Oh ESTHER!
Oh you & I & everyone else
to be so BOLD by FAITH
because we care so much,
but not so much for ourselves
but for others
who need to experience
the
FREEDOM found in A REAL GOD
the moment HE enters into
the REAL LIFE of anyone
who calls upon HIS NAME
in the midst of impossibility
in the midst of fear
in the midst of uncertainty~
because FREEDOM is COURAGE
to do the impossible despite the impossible
because
it yokes you to the
REAL KING
who cared so much for all of us
that HE thought of HIMSELF last
so that "IF I PERISH I PERISH"
isn't finality
because
we know how our REAL STORIES end IN CHRIST~
"JESUS said to her,“I am the resurrection and the life.
The one who believes in me will live,
even though they die;
and whoever lives by believing in me will never die
.Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)
Oh JESUS didn't say this to ESTHER as she was still in the Old Testament,
but she knew THE GOD of the testaments
that gave her the BOLDNESS & COURAGE
to take that step of
FAITH
that saved her people
and even herself.
REAL LIFE. REAL STORY. REAL GOD.
Is GOD calling you to take a BOLD step of FAITH
in this moment of time
despite the impossibility,
FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS?
Oh be an ESTHER and do it anyway
because IN HIM
there is
