It is the GIFT of ALL GIFTS
because it is the only
GIFT that is for everyone,
and that means you.
But as you look at the GIFT
you question whether to open it
because you are waiting for
something else
or someone else
and right now
this
GIFT isn't appealing to you.
Yet is sits in front you
with a tag that has your name
engraved on it.
It is so beautiful, yet so nondescript,
so you question its contents.
And then you read who
THE GIFT GIVER is~
GOD
Yikes.
Why would GOD send you a GIFT when HE isn't sending you
what you have been asking for?
A GIFT IS NOT A GIFT ULESS IT IS OPENED!
You are unsure if you want to
OPEN it,
because you BELIEVE that there is nothing
that GOD could GIVE you
in this moment
that would be worth opening
because
you just don't FEEL HIM
and HE seems like HE is sleeping on the job.
The reality strikes you.
You BELIEVE GOD has failed you.
Now that is hard to write.
But I am sure you have had those times
when you questioned~
"My GOD my GOD why have you FORSAKEN me?" (Matthew 27:46)
The same words that poured out of HIS SON'S heart. .
When all goes silent.
Oh the SILENCE of SILENCE becomes the playground of the enemy to whisper
DOUBT into your heart.
Yet how could GOD fail you
when HE is GIVING you a GIFT.
Is it really possible that HE is not GIVING up on you,
because who GIVES a GIFT to someone who HE's forgotten?
Do you TRUST GOD ENOUGH that
what HE has for you
is more than ENOUGH
than what anything else or what anyone else
could GIVE you.
A GIFT ISN'T A GIFT UNLESS IT IS OPENED.
So you gently untie the ribbon,
but stop before you open the lid
as you prepare yourself for disappointment.
But then you do it.
You open the box by FAITH
and everything changes in a second
because
GOD isn't a GOD of disappointments
as this GIFT is so undeserved
yet HE is GIVING it to you~
HIS GIFT OF GRACE!
"For it is by GRACE
[GOD'S remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to CHRIST]
that you have been
SAVED [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life]
through FAITH.
And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [UNDESERVED, GRACIOUS] GIFT OF GOD;
not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for HIS SALVATION]" (Ephesians 2:8-9 AMP).
And then you wonder why you didn't open it before.
But it doesn't matter
because you OPENED it now
and it is yours
FOREVER,
as it is a GIFT that keeps
GIVING
to one and all
at all times.
Will you embrace HIS GIFT OF GRACE
today like you have never embraced it before
as you
FAST from
not GIVING GRACE to others
who don't deserve it in your eyes.
And
FAST
from not GIVING GRACE to yourself,
when you feel as if you don't deserve it.
And FAST
from not
GIVING GRACE to GOD
for when you feel HE isn't meeting your expectations.
BECAUSE HE IS
is the GIVER of this GIFT
to you and to me and to all
who haven't met HIS EXPECTATIONS.
Today is going to be the best day
because you and I say,
"HELLO GRACE"
