I finally get it.
And I am sure it will take more time to finally get it again.
And the more I stop trying to get it
I will totally get it
because
I experience
GOD
as
HE becomes so very real
when
I stop trying to figure HIM out
and
simply do what HE asks of me.
OBEDIENCE!
Oh to OBEY GOD isn't a response to a reprimand.
OBEDIENCE is a response to the gift of LOVE~
“JESUS replied, ‘Anyone who loves ME will obey MY teaching'” (John 14:23).
What will it cost you?
EVERYTHING that is getting in the way of living in HIS LOVE.
To FOLLOW JESUS is an act of OBEDIENCE
that leads you to a place
of PEACE
that you could never produce on your own.
OBEDIENCE~
following GOD'S WORDS of DO NOT~
the words that actually
stop you in your tracks
because how is it possible to
OBEY HIS WORDS
when you are experiencing the actually thing
that you are asked to
"DO NOT" do.
Hmm.
So how do you & I open the
GIFT OF OBEDIENCE
when we are told
"Do not be anxious about anything"*
and we are anxious about everything.
Hmm.
It is impossible to
DO NOT BE on our own.
I have tried it. I still try it.
And I think GOD chuckles at me
as HE waits for me to
look at OBEDIENCE as the doorway to
PEACE
instead of an impossibility
when
instead it is an opportunity to experience
HIS GRACIOUS GIFT of HIS LOVE
that
doesn't stop at
DO NOT
because GOD has so much waiting for us at every turn in the road~
"And the peace of GOD, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in CHRIST JESUS"*
This isn't rocket science, unless we make it out to be.
Oh when we try to make sense of what GOD is asking
when all HE wants from us is to
respond to HIS LOVE with OBEDIENCE and
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart & lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to HIM, & HE will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Hmm.
OBEDIENCE is TRUST
that leads to action~
"but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to GOD"*(Philippians 4: 6-8)
Oh the JOY of OBEDIENCE~
"Be joyful always; Pray continually;
Give thanks in all circumstances..."
Because OBEDIENCE is the gift of FREE WILL~
"For this is GOD'S will for you in CHRIST JESUS" (I Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Oh respond to the
UNCONDITIONAL GRACE of GOD
with
OBEDIENCE
because
HE is
"SOVEREIGN" (listen to the song below)
