Day 10: Jesus Is The Answer

I am looking back to a season of my life

that seemed to last forever.

It was a season

of WAITING.

WAITING  for

GOD to ANSWER

a prayer

that was so deeply woven into my heart

that I couldn't imagine life without it

being ANSWERED.

I remember

how easily my heart began to drift.

Not away

from

GOD,

but away

from

TRUSTING HIS TIMING.

I knew

GOD

was ANSWERING

my prayer~

yet just not the way I wanted,

or

when I wanted.

And oh,

the stubborn, impatient

part of me began to emerge.

Looking back now,

I can see what I couldn't see then.

GOD

loved me too much

to ANSWER my prayer too soon.

Instead,

HE answered me

with

HIMSELF.

HE gently

showed me that

HIS GREATEST ANSWER

was often found

in

THE WAIT.

Because it was

in the WAITING

that

HE changed my heart.

Not simply by giving me what I wanted,

but by drawing me into

a deeper relationship

with

HIMSELF~

JESUS!

What if the greatest ANSWER to your prayer

isn't the ANSWER you've been waiting for,

but JESUS?

Hmm...

 Think about that.

 What if GOD never ANSWERED your deepest prayer the way you hoped?

That thought can feel crushing.

The tears are real.

 But what if there are ANSWERS all around you

that you're missing,

because you're so focused on one request?

Because every ANSWER is

ultimately found in the

ONE ANSWER~

JESUS.

 But what if JESUS doesn't seem like enough?

What if you want an ANSWER you can see, touch, and hold today?

I understand. I've been there.

Yet, one day,

we will SEE HIM face to face.

HE WILL welcome you into eternity,

 and place the victor's crown upon your head~

 not because life was easy,

but because you held tightly to HIM,

 even when you couldn't see the ANSWER.

"Therefore we do not lose heart.

Though outwardly we are wasting away,

 yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an

eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen,

since what is seen is temporary,

but what is unseen is eternal" 

*(2 Corinthians 4:18)

 There HE IS.

In the UNSEEN,

yet so close.

THE ANSWER is standing right before you.

JESUS.

 When you know that JESUS is standing beside every prayer,

your prayers are safe because they are held in HIS HANDS.

 And so are you.

 Someone once wrote,

"GOD may delay answering your prayers in order to give you

 far more than you're asking for".

And the "far more" is not merely what HE  gives,

but Who HE gives.

 The world had been praying for centuries for a SAVIOR.

Many expected an army.

A king.

 A kingdom.

Instead, GOD ANSWERED with a BABY.

Not the ANSWER they expected,

but the ANSWER they needed.

For THE ANSWER was wrapped in swaddling clothes.

THE ANSWER walked to the Cross.

THE ANSWER rose out of the Empty Tomb.

The answer is JESUS.

So today,

if you are still waiting,

don't miss THE ANSWER

while waiting for an ANSWER.

 For when JESUS shows up,

HE always comes with HIS PEACE and HIS PRESENCE,

and that my friend is THE ANSWER to all prayers.

 Thank YOU GOD, 

for ANSWERING our deepest need with the

 NAME above every name~

JESUS.

 Because CHRISTMAS was never simply the birth of a Baby,

 it was Heaven's answer to Earth's greatest prayer.
