It happens.
Your bubble gets burst
as the word NO becomes a staple in your life.
You want to hear YES.
You feel you are doing everything the right way,
but NO is all you hear.
You want to give up.
But giving up is your receiving NO as confirmation
that you are
Not SEEN
Not HEARD
Not WANTED
Not LOVED
Oh the power of two letters when they are joined together~
NO!
Oh you have said it and it has been said to you,.
But what happens when GOD says NO?
Does that mean that
HE doesn't
SEE you, HEAR you, WANT you, LOVE you?
Has HE placed a CONDITION on you, that maybe
you aren't trying hard enough to be perfect enough
and then maybe just maybe you will hear YES!
Hmm.
Yup, I am tired of NO.
And oh how it can derail me
as I question GOD whether HE even knows that
I
SEE HIM, HEAR HIM, WANT HIM, LOVE HIM.
It sounds like I am putting CONDITIONS on GOD.
CONDITIONAL LOVE~
GOD, YOU do what I want YOU to do when I want YOU to do it.
Because YOU are GOD.
Yikes!!
Oh how quickly I forget the LOVE PROMISES of GOD
that address every NO that I am allowing to rob me of
HIS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE that addresses every CONDITIONAL circumstance~
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up"(Galatians 6:9)
Even when the NO is getting me so weary
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE speaks~
"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing" (James 1:2-4).
Because
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
LOVES always
especially in the NOs of life~
"Love bears all things [regardless of what comes],
believes all things [looking for the best in each one],
hopes all things
[remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]"
(I Corinthians 13:7).
Oh PERSEVERING LOVE that put JESUS on the cross~
a LOVE that I didn't deserve
because it is
UNCONDITIONAL GRACE
that
SEES
HEARS
WANTS
LOVES
you & me & everyone else.
Thank YOU GOD for YOUR NO
because YOU are giving me another opportunity
to experience YOUR UNCONDITIONAL LOVE that trumps every NO~
“YOU will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is
steadfast [that is, committed and focused on YOU—in both inclination and character],
Because he trusts and takes refuge in YOU [with hope and confident expectation]" (Isaiah 26:3)
because
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
never says NO to
