What if you TRUSTED IN a sunny day and all you could see was clouds?
What if you TRUSTED IN a phone call that you have been waiting for,
yet your phone never rang?
What if you TRUSTED IN ___________ and what you TRUSTED IN was just not happening?
Oh I do it all the time.
I think I am TRUSTING IN GOD but I am really TRUSTING IN
the something to happen
or
IN the someone to happen.
I feel like the UNBELIEVING BELIEVING father
who asked JESUS~
“LORD, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24)
It sounds absurd, but oh how true
as I TRUST IN GOD
&
as I TRUST IN HIS SON
&
as I TRUST IN the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT,
but then my actions don't match my TRUST
right after I do what I am asked to do~
"Cast all your anxiety on HIM because HE cares for you" (I Peter 5:7)~
because I pick up anxiety while I wait for GOD'S answer.
It is like the casting of a fishing pole.
You see the fish as it is swimming right to be hooked by the bait
and then at that moment you purposely UNCAST the rod w
hen the catch was just about to happen.
And I don't fish, but maybe I do with GOD.
“LORD, I believe; help my unbelief!”
Are you having a
“LORD, I believe; help my unbelief!” moment?
What are you TRUSTING IN & Who are you TRUSTING IN
instead of TRUSTING IN GOD?
Tears fill my being right now as GOD has shown me
that I have to RELEASE the what and the who that I am TRUSTING IN
that is taking my eyes off the ONE who is my TRUST.
"Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
But we will remember and trust in the name of the LORD our GOD" (Psalm 20:7).
And oh how when I turn my eyes back to the
TRUSTED ONE
HE answers my prayer of
“LORD, I believe; help my unbelief!”
that brings GOD back to the place where HE belongs~
"HE put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our GOD. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD. Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie!" (Psalm 40:3-4).
Will you say it~
“LORD, I believe; help my unbelief!”
and experience the explosive
"POWER"*
that is released when
HE IS OUR TRUST.
