We are on vacation and I got a gift that I didn't expect~
The Flu.
Something Unexpected.
Something Unplanned.
But I got it anyway.
So where is my JOY?
Is it in the fever?
Is it in the weariness?
Is it in the coughing?
I claim JOY.
This is so minor in the big book of life~
as the flu is nothing but
an interrupted annoyance
that will go away,
yet it has a way of making you feel so horrible that you can't think straight.
So I think about the
Gifts of CHRISTMAS
and JOY keeps shouting my name.
JOY that is my strength when I am weak.
JOY that is not based on my circumstances.
JOY that never changes because HE never changes.
JOY woke me up early today
even though I wasn't feeling very JOYFUL.
Maybe GOD has something to say to me
through this flu that has taken away my spunk.
JOY

To
"BE JOYFUL ALWAYS"
is possible when we
"PRAY CONTINUOUSLY"
and when we
"GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES"
Why?
"FOR THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU IN CHRIST JESUS" (I Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Oh how GOD uses all things
to get our attention
to put our eyes back on HIM~
no matter how big how small
the intruder in our lives is
that tries to steal
JOY
that is ours to claim
ALWAYS
because
HE IS ALWAYS!
